I found Dixie, s videos a few weeks ago. I found myself looking forward to coming home and see what adventure she be up to next. I started with her videos on the PCT then the CDT and just finished the AT. What an amazing adventure. Dixie has inspired so many people including myself. I turn 65 this year (2019) and in one of her videos she talks about not letting the mummy caught up with you, tap you on the shoulder while your sitting still and say GOT YA. So Dixie, I pray one day our paths will cross out on the trail, i could hug your neck and thank you for your inspiration. Dixie God Bless

Thanks for taking me on your journey, Dixie and video editor. I will never go on such a long journey, but I appreciate you sharing your adventure. I stumbled upon your video #1 two days ago and ended up watching the whole series. I must admit, when you were with the Tramily in North Carolina, I did not think that you would complete the trip in one season. I am happy for you that you did. It was nice to share your ups and downs. I purchased your book, not because I will be preparing for an extended hike, but in appreciation for the hard work that you did and perhaps get a few more details of your adventure.

What an incredible adventure you had! You are seriously the coolest most badass female and I'm so proud of you for finishing the AT strong! I'm so happy I stumbled across your video series, you have a great personality, so sweet and hilarious! We're similar ages and I never even considered doing something like this until I started watching you and became so inspired to do more solo hiking and not be afraid. You are so brave and fearless! What an awesome adventure! Inspiring and emotional series. Thank you for all the dedication to film it all. I plan on the same adventure myself, next year, and will document the journey citing 'Dixie' and her videos for one of the motivating factors. I laughed AND cried throughout the entire hike you made. The one comment you made about recognizing 'day-hikers' because. they smell wonderful! was a funny part I really remember. Ok, off to watch your PCT vids!

This AT finish is 3 years old and I'm still bawling like a baby with your Katahdin summit! On to the PCT! I heard from a fellow hiker (met recently on the trails on Santa Rosa Island) that you had some real drama out on that one. I told her not to tell me anything. this is a story that needs to be watched from beginning to end with no spoilers. Congrats, Dixie. hope you're enjoying the CDT at present.

What the hay? I have watched alot of your videos of the AT thru-hike, mostly jealously cause I cant, but I have put this one off till now. I can't believe it, mixture of pride that you did it, actually hung in there and finished it, and all of a sudden my face is wet. wow! I know this is a couple years later, but still, wow!

Well, I'm 4 years late for the party, but it was worth it. This was a beautiful thing. I followed you all the way using an online topo map. I can't imagine doing this, even when I was young. But I'm 68 and still walking the trails. Thanks much for sharing this Dixie.

I was clapping for you when you made it to the top of Katadin. Congratulations! It took me several tries to watch this whole series, but once I got past VA, I found it easier to watch. I'm glad you made it, but you cut it rather close there!

After watching the condensed version, I had to go back and watch the whole AT hike. Now I'll be watch your other hikes as well!
