For the record, Clingmans Dome is where the Mountains to Sea trail starts and goes a little over 1100 miles to Jockey's Ridge State Park. Another Great long distance trail through a very diverse state

That Ice reminds me of when my wife and I went through the Smokey's last year. We started our thru-hike February 10 and we were in crampons for 2 weeks because of those darn Ice storms!

We were up there a week later and that ice was covered in snow. A good short hike down in Cherokee is Mt Noble fire tower. It was right up the road from the museum. Thanks for your videos!

Very cool. I'm building a cabin about 10 miles from Newfound Gap. Foothills Pkwy. to Hwy. 321. I'm going to finish the basement and make a hostel. Great video Dixie.
