What a fun, nice video. Thanks for letting us be a part. If you are considering section hiking the PCT as a warm-up, you might want to look into the John Muir Trail. I think it is about 200 miles and part of it coincides with the PCT. From the videos I have seen, it is beautiful and certainly on my list. Just a thought, thanks for posting.

I would like to congratulate you for thru hiking the AT. Great job! Thank you as well for sharing your experience on the trail. Your videos have been beneficial in helping me to plan for my attempt at thru hiking the AT this year. In fact, I will be flying to Atlanta tomorrow to begin my journey. Thank you, Rich

I lived in Opelika in the early 90's, before I moved to Florida. Was an electrician at Uniroyal. I think they closed down a few years later. Auburn/Opelika was cool but I missed the ocean. Great video. It's so fun to meet up with friends after a great adventure.

That's great that you got to meet up with South pole and chat up your trail experiences. I wish you were able to do the PCT this year but Jessica, and let South pole know also, you have a connection in southern Oregon when you do hike it.

Thanks for keeping us updated Dixie. I live about a mile from the 19E crossing in TN and have been walking the section to Walnut Mtn Rd regularly. You have inspired me greatly! Hoping to tackle longer section hikes in the future.

12: 15 This is very assuring information. Now all I need is to find a long enough trail to hike but all we have here in south africa is one 430 mile trail. Not too bad but not even close to an AT.
