I don't care for the looks of the Cybertruck at all. Furthermore most of the features that make it special actually detract from its usability; the huge windshield that as you noted actually decreases visibility, the single big wiper that doesn't clear as well, the rear window obstructed by the tonneau cover and the rugged stainless steel body panels that show every fingerprint and is harder to maintain than a painted truck, Tesla's obsession with having every control on the screen and the silly steering wheel. and it's really not especially good off-road either. It's just a series of misses in my book. The Ford on the other hand is pretty much what a truck guy would want in an electric truck, as long as they don't tow or don't tow far (and in that use case there's the Silverado EV.

Really disappointing to see a video that showcases old software. The new software has been out for more than two weeks. Other outlets even took a CT with new software to Moab given you knew this when releasing the video, you should have at MINIMUM added a cut presenting the new software. Plenty of people in the Bay Area already running it. I’m confident that if you posted about it on YT or Twitter some CT would have been happy to let you review it.

The 4 wheel steering, steer by wire, air suspension and cool tonneau system give Cybertruck a huge advantage in my view. I have a Cybertruck ordered, I've turned down the Foundation series because I don't consider the extra $20K worth it to me. When you put all season or performance tires on the Cybertruck, it's going to have better range and even greater efficiency than Lightning. I like but don't love the Lightning.

Most comparison reviews seem to always leave out the fact that Tesla has a dashcam using the cars cameras to record and save the front, rear and side cameras, as well as Sentry. This is very useful if you are in an accident. The car can also can be remote viewed in realtime from the app. The sound systems are also VASTLY superior to what is in Ford. These are two things I really miss in the Lightning as a Tesla owner.

Can ford lightning go 0-60. In 2. 9 seconds. At ford quality is job none. Ford truck already is obsolete. No one is buying it. Why did not you bring the beast from Tesla . No 24 ford models because they are stuck with unsold 2023. Lightning. Cyber truck is state of the art vehicle. Ford is 60 years old design. Tesla gets the look. While you can’t tell ford lightning on the road at all.

Oh why didn't they put the rear camera view in the mirror I was offered a cyber truck in December, but can't bring myself to pay the Foundation tax of 27, 500. Now I don['t want it anymore. But my wife a Maverick XL and I pre-ordered a 24 Model 3 Performance. Both combined were less that the dual motor Cybertruck even without the Foundation tax.

I never thought I’d say this, but the Ford Lightning looks kinda good especially sitting next to the Cybertruck.
The Tesla Cybertruck is like that ugly pair of designer shoes that are purposefully polarizing for some sort of fashion statement and all the desperately popular people are fighting to wear them first.

Ford made a real truck, Tesla made a very odd thing to try to reinvent a product that didn’t need reinvention. I do respect that Tesla engineers tried things like 800v and steer by wire, but that’s all things that Ford can also implement on the next generation of the Lightning.

People who want a pickup to do truck things buy any pickup on the market. People who need attention and have more money than sense buy a Tesla Cybertruck, make a few videos of why they bought it, and then a few months later, make a video of why they sold it.

Another great video. I have a buddy with a Cybertruck and love it. However, I would choose the Lightning over it. As a former Avalanche owner, I like the Silverado EV, but would be leery of their quality. 30, 000 miles on my Mach-e and zero issues.

Interesting not much was said about the 48 volt steer by wire and the rear wheel steering. Be interesting if the rest of the industry will adopt this technology as it seems a game changer

Is ground clearance really measured at the center I did not know that, I always assumed it was at the lowest point, for independent suspension vehicles, that's usually the control arm

When I get my brand new cybertruck, I will forever park directly next to the grocery cart return area in the parking lot. Let’s see how many new lightning owners will make that pledge.

Sorry but this review sounded very biased. It didn’t sound objective, very relative. I love cars period ICE or EV, please be less subjective in the future. Good job anyways.

You got it wrong, people considering Cybertruck vs Lightning are totally different, you should do Cybertruck vs Rivian R1S because no Cybertruck owner is doing truck thing.

Rear quarter panels are structural as well as revealed by service manual. They bolt directly to the rear structural aluminum castings and some backing stainless welded as well.

Been a truck guy my whole life, I’ll take the cyber truck. Call this payback for all the issues I had with my K3500, my Silverado, my Canyon, my Ram, and my Raptor.

I find the cyber truck bold and interesting. People are buying it in the Bay Area. I see more cyber trucks than lightnings so that should tell you something
