The mechanic torque vectoring unit is not that advantageous. Their are very few, if any, circumstances an owner would need all 500 hp and torque to be sent to just one wheel rear wheel. That is why using two motors is not really a big deal. Furthermore electric motors don't just have a on or off state when torque vectoring. They can spin to different RPM ranges independently of each other where they can produce different hp/torque based on software.

I like it! (Tho the face will take some time) I wonder why the performance edition reduces the range Is it that much heavier Geared lower Seems like it should allow you to put it in an eco mode and get nearly the same range as the normal AWD version. (I'd really like to be able to take any vehicle at least 300 miles thru the mountains without charging. without that it loses a lot of utility/value for me)

I have seen one in person a couple of times at the Polestar studio at Scottsdale Fashion Square, and even sat in it, and it's drop dead gorgeous. Interestingly, both times I was there no one was looking at it, but the examples of the 2 were getting a lot of attention. Likely a matter of the 2 being available now, and with what seemed like very reasonable lease rates.

It's already somewhat frightening on the hwy now. Can you imagine a 5000 pound battering ram with a road rager. Inattentive teen or a plethora of other people who shouldn't be driving all heading for a street and play ground near you. Just kidding everyone knows they stop on a dime.

6: 32 i sat in the rear seat of one last year- now they relocated the freaking cheap add-on cushion at the mid-back higher up. It was too upright, did not recline, was uncomfortably flat without that padding. What are you doing, volvo I mean polestar.

I'm so glad i dumped the wait for the Volvo ex90 (the polestar 3 sibling but with the important LIDAR) and went for a 13 month lease for the Genesis Gv70.
No Volvo / polestar comes close to the refinement, luxury and Performance of the Genesis EV.

First rule of tech and car manufacturing. Never buy a new model line the first year of production since they need to work out issues and you as a consumer don’t want to be their beta tester. Time is on your side as a happy consumer.

15: 00 EX90 was on my wish list for 1year bcoz of the Lidar (LUMINAR said it would allow HANDS-OFF AND EYES-OFF level ADAS. BTW in early 2024, TESLA bought $2 million worth of lidar sensors from this SAME COMPANY LUMINAR.

Wayyyy too expensive and lease price is ridiculous wanted to get something with more range than my etron had high hopes but that’s a no from me. I like the looks though - reminds me a bit of the I-pace from the side

Can these manufacturers of SUV’s/CUV’s PLEASE start putting the rear wiper on top so it’s hidden. No reason to block the entire bottom of the window. Definitely cleaner look and more aerodynamic.

Nice car but it's way too expensive. Sorry Polestar, it's not on Cayenne's level. Your brand does not have the Porsche mystic yet. I'll be interested once these depreciate 50% in 3 years.

Polestar has some nice cars but I would never buy one because the brand name sounds like the best dancer at a gentlemen's club. They should called it Northstar or something else.

As one of Parkinson’s Laws goes: Perfection of planned layout is only achieved by institutions on the point of collapse. This looks to be the case here

Alex, I like everything you're showing me on the new Polestar 3. I'll put it on my wish list but the price range you mentioned will keep me dreaming.

I love what Polestar is doing, sharp looking cars.
However
Those wheels look enormous.
Is there a reason why wheels keep getting bigger.

Nearly 500 bhp, yet 0-60 only 4. 5sec.
The Genesis gv70 EV (and gv60) gets 3. 6 sec and better Luxury (unlike the model Y's garbage interiors)
