Designed to compete with the Porsche Panamera and other ber expensive, ber fast sedans, the GT is the first sedan the AMG brand has designed themselves. Up till now, sedans like the C 63 or E 63 AMGs started as Mercedes-Benz sedans that were the cranked up to 11 by AMG. This time AMG took a more direct approach, reaching into the Mercedes parts bin and crafting a sedan that's sort-of-kind-of E-Class and CLS-Class related but not directly either sedan.
