Is This The Caddy You've Been Waiting For? 2020 Cadillac XT6

Cadillac shoppers have been demanding a 3-row crossover thats roomy but easier to park than an Escalade. Is the XT6 that crossover? In a nutshell: yes and no. Its certainly the Cadillac of GMs crossover lineup and the interior is well crafted and comfortable, but the premium price tag may be hard for some shoppers to accept. Bruce: Cadillacs are supposed to have full sized seats. For a Cadillac to have a seat bottom with a short ledge is completely counter to what a Cadillac should be no matter the characteristics the company might be targeting. In person the Aviator is very beautiful and though I love Cadillacs Id say that its real presence takes up a place in a driveway more regally than the Xt6. Lincolns seats are most likely going to become hallmarks for the brand and expected in all of Lincolns vehicles eventually in contrast. I have a feeling that Ford is waiting to send Alex an Aviator until theyre confident that theyre sending a product produced after they correct some known production problems with their new plant. I have a feeling that there will be a software update for the transmission and then theyll send Alex an Aviator to review. Hope that goads Lincoln into sending you one soon. Good luck Alex

The only way a midsize Cadillac SUV will be the car I want is if GM ditches that 3. 6L v6 and injects some fricking excitement into these expensive cars. Same engine as in the XT5. and every Buick, they have recouped the dev cost on this engine 1000 times over since the first variant was used in the late 80s (was a 3. 8 then. Not a standout, no excitement in the driving dynamics department. I get that it may work for their older customers, but if you want broad appeal and a larger slice of the market they need to stop making it just enough for the aged, and start making it plenty for other demos. Im not looking for sport SUV performance, just a little performance DNA, but I sense they are caught between making it look exciting, and not offending an older generation that may not like the feel of a turbo (which can be worked around)Keep in mind this is near 100k in Canada. 310hp is a sad number for the cost.

The XT6 is really pretty and practical, but thats about all it has going for it as far as Im concerned. Quality doesnt measure up to the price tag, the 400 badge is less than meaningless, and its FWD in a sea of RWD competitors. It doesnt bring anything new to the game. Its not off-road capable, its not terribly sporty, and its not extra comfortable comfortable. Its very average and average just doesnt do in todays world

The side profile of this is very boring looking. There's no creases or anything distinctive about it. There's not even a slight slope with the roof that makes even the most boring crossovers look a little interesting. It looks a lot cheaper than it is. Also, Two Black Cadillacs is such a good song as well as the whole Blown Away album

Take that badge off and most ppl will have no idea who made it, Cadillac had only 2 things going for it, very unique styling and handling( past decade or so, so good job new GM management, instead of improving reliability and quality you make Caddy look like Hyundai and price it like Mercedes

Lincoln is kicking Caddy's ass in every new SUV they releaseThe Escalade will be big time, but Caddy is in troubleThis is not on the Aviator's level. The new CT5 sucks tooIt's gonna be a long 5-7 year sales draught for Cadillac

Answer: No. Just a Chevy Traverse with a very slightly fancier interior and exterior. Very lazy execution from GM. Especially after the Aviator came out, and the GV80 was shown off. It just shows how lazy this vehicle was.

The XT4, 5, and 6 are NOTHING more than underpowered, overpriced, modern dune buggies for senior citizens. because frankly thats all I ever see driving these things. I would take a Buick Enclave any day of the week.

This and the Aviator are great vehicles, that should have come out 5 years ago. I would consider both right now if I had the option of buying a 3-5 year old used model that was well maintained and affordable.

I, personally do not like the way it looks. The back looks like a pickup with a shell & the front like a military vehicle painted red. Sorry, but appreciate your reviews as always.
