I believe this test driver was not impartial at all. He started the video saying he liked the BMW more and has driven it before, and ends up the video saying: -if you want to go against a stopwatch choose the Mercedes, if you want to have fun buy the BMW-.
I find that hilarious. I honestly have no opinion on either of the cars. Just think this review was shit as it told me nothing.

I love reding all these comments but I wonder how many of you can actually afford to drive a car like this? h everyone has an opinon but unless you lay down the hard cash for these cars your opinions are worthless. Why would anyone offer an opinion on a car that they will never own let alone drive!

What I enjoy to do is after literally raping a M135i with my Focus ST225, I stop next to him and asked how much his vehicle costs. Then I laugh at him when he tells me its 3 times what my car costs. The facial expression i get ever-time is priceless.

That bmw is god ugly. Looks only a mother could love. Would you really want to pay all that money to be a mother of this car lol. Lovely sounding engine though. I prefer the A45. Would rather go for Civic Type R though

-autoexpress do the loan cars a favour and let them warm up before thrashing them, common courtesy as some poor punter will end up owning that car with a engine that could possibly die a horrible death!

Why do people consider an engine that sends power to the rear wheels only when needed an AWD? That's still a FWD in my eyes, so the Merc doesn't have an advantage over the BMW in terms of being a RWD.

BMW - good for four months of the year in the UK only. Had an M3 a few years back and it was completely USELESS in the winter; even with winter tyres. AWD FTW!

I think both cars look great. I do, however, prefer this 1-series over the new facelift version. It looks a bit like the 2-series active tourer to me.
