Suzuki Grand Vitara / No Drive Cycle / No Codes - Part I
video description
I got brand new spark plugs, new catalyst converter, new camshaft position sensor (250): (. and nothing has fixed my problem I believe it could be your client's same problem, or I was thinking on the Pre Catalyst the ones that are on the manifold. Any suggestion? By the way great video

Had this exact issue today with a 97 ford f150. Put a new oxygen sensor reset every thing and according to thw scan tool i have done 10 drive cycles but the evap monitor is not saying ok im suspecting a hi voltage vent valve because i dont know the voltage on those but i did notice upon start it was arouns 10v and while highyway speeds it went between as low as 7 volts and as high as 12v. Still waiting to see what happens but original complaint wad random misfiring but not consistently. i was able to recreate the issue in which i belive is fixed it also needed a O2 b1s1. preformed the koer test and it passed. But still will not set evap monitor
Any sugesstions?

I heard you mention a faulty break sensor switch? Was you saying a break switch can cause an o2 sensor/catylist not to go ready? I am having trouble with my 2001 ranger 4. 0 getting o2/catylist to set. It showing no trouble codes but If I use my obd2 to run a code scan with engine running (the test that makes the vehicle step through different rpms) it comes back saying faulty break switch but the break sensor switch is working. It turns off cruise control and when applying my break it shows on? Can a faulty break sensor switch cause readiness issues? Please reply thank you in advance.

I need to get one of those 'miro' torches: -)
FWIW, I don't have a problem with using the old connector, but I have seen the shrinky butts leak water despite being shrunk down. In places where that might happen, I like to paint over it with some Scotchkote. Your mileage will undoubtedly vary.
Also, when I do use the shrinky butts, I like to stagger them so the bundle doesn't get too fat. Your mileage will probably vary there too.
Thank you for taking the trouble to do these: -)

My girl had a grand vitara when we started dating. It's funny you mention it catching on fire because that's exactly what happened to hers. Kid was driving it, it started throwing lights and then filled with smoke. They got out and literally watched it burn to the ground. I was actually happy I didn't have to work on it anymore. Freakin piece of utter shit.

I was impressed with the final emissions like you said they were working real good. California smog emission is real hard to keep working in your type of environment or climate. I really like your videos it helps me to reassure myself. You would think after 36 years you would be more confident! Thanks Jeff Wade Mobile mechanic.

my 99 GV is at 275K km and still humming along. Has never ever let me down on the road. Oil leaks are usually degraded O-rings inserted along the oil pan oil galleries. Had to do remove those fricken O2 sensors to change Cat. Great zoom results on that camera and he's one smart mechanic.

Solder has no place in vehicle wiring, ESPECIALLY those hyper-dopey solder shrink butt splices. Those are dumb, and I have no problem giving anyone who uses them guff.
Plain and simple, you have no control over the process, and soldering is indeed a process.

Eagles are special! As a little more confident about that Universal oxygen sensor when I saw the Bosch name. I've had pretty good luck with things made by Bosch in general, not just Auto Parts
