My 1996 F150 5. 0 is my most reliable vehicle in my driveway. All original. Other vehicles in our driveway, 2011 Caravan and a 2013 Edge. Constantly dealing with issues. Doesn't have all the crap sensors and extras which need to be fixed constantly. I know, I fix cars for others and the most repairs are for all those extra sensors and electronics. Great diagnostics.

John here have 1993 ford F150 XL 5. 0 my motor doing the same so I changed out Map sensor still the same changed coolant temperature sensor still fluttering and shifting hard but idle some what better not as high changed out throttle position sensor and cleaned throttle body and new gasket, fluttering and shifting stop alot better calling good.

As someone with only very basic multimeter skills, I would love to see a video on all the different voltage clamps and probes you use with your multimeter type tools, and any repairs like liquid tape required afterwards - I wonder about this alot when watching - because you make it look easy!

Question hope you see this? I have a 1992 Ford F-150 5. 0 when I turn my key to on the fuel pump stays priming for 10 to 15 min then shuts off then I can start it and runs like crap with bad idle and running rich. I've changed fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator still not fixed?

Was hoping it wasnt goin to be that simple, and you would have gotten more in depth. Mine is doing hard shifts into 3rd but not consistently. And only if I floor it alittle bit. If I cruise its fine, no hard shifts. It idles fine and does the fast idle at startup as well. Hmmm.

I have a 1995 f150 4. 9l with around 293, 000 miles truck runs and drives to problem well most of the time out of no where my engine light comes on and the truck loses power and no longer can shift gears is a automatic e40d transmission anyone know what could be the problem?

I think I replaced the MAP sensor at least twice on my '87 Mustang GT 5. 0L. It was located in a similar position under the hood near the firewall like that. Except I think it was more on the driver's side. Had that car for 12 years, loved every minute of it!

Thanks, I have a 1993 F150XLT with the 4. 9L and it is shifting hard. Just changed transmission silonoid pack because it would not shift at all. It helped but now shifts hard. I'm going to try this. Once again thanks.

I have 92 F150 with 90K, after engine is warm it hesitates shifting at high speed, above 50. Much vibration. I have seen others with similar problem whom have fixed everything but not the problem. Any thoughts?

I have a 95 bronco, I am having the same issues with shifting hard and the random flare up at idle. I also have a blink OD light when the transmission shifts hard. do you think mine could be a similar issue?
