I like watching your brake videos. Probably watched 3-4 of them now. I'm near Toronto and we salt the roads here so everything's rusted too. I've learned a lot of good practices from you. Couple questions:
1) What do you think of Sil-Glide for brake lube?
2) Is that 3M hub kit any good for the spaces in between the wheel studs on the hub?
3) You ever bother cleaning up the wheel mounting pads? 3M stud kit? Roloc disc?

Hope you still read this, we put a wooden box over our compressor, with openings for air to come in, these openings are covered by the same wood with a 4 inch overlap on all sides of the square. inside we put engine insolation against the wood, same for the openings. noise travels in a straight line not around corners. Makes a world of difference.

Do you ever resurface (grind) the rotors? In New Zealand, this is a standard practice and despite the charges for resurfacing, is generally much more economical than replacement. It is relatively rare to replace the rotors, except when they are damaged or when sufficiently ground that the thickness gets below acceptable (published) minima.

Hey Eric O. love your videos. Not sure if you'll read this but if you do, on vehicle with ABS brakes should you open bleeder valve on caliper when compressing the brake caliper piston back or is that a myth. I'm just wondering. I never did it myself but just heard that it may hurt ABS system. Thanks.

i was looking at some astro tools but the warranty process looks iffy at best, companys should be more prideful in what they make, tekton take a pic n get a new one. others you trade in stores or on tool trucks. unless someone can release more of warranty progress

I had thought I might surely tire of your brake videos by now after having watched several. But I have enjoyed each one. They are all uniquely presented and very interesting. I always look forward to the brake clean and lanolin spray.

You are very artistic with getting the rust off and preserving the metal. I have never seen brake specialists do all of the cleaning and greasing that you do. They usually want to charge 1, 100 for a brake job.

Had to laugh right at the beginning of the vid. when that lug nut socket you want just doesn't quite fit. Lol.
Have one of the 2011 Equinox's and I get the wrong socket all the time. XD
