Dodge Ram Key Programming Using Launch X431-V

I had a delivery van that would randomly lock me out while I was delivering in stores. Boss told me to always take key out as it would often lock even with key in key slot. Was a MB sprinter. Also used the emergency key a few times when the van would not unlock the door with the fob. MB 3 pointed star emblem meant it cost 3 times as much to fix. What is it with modern cars lately with no key hole for boot (trunk)? If battery flat, how do we get into boot (trunk) for the jumper cables, especially as mines has a LPG tank behind rear seat so cant crawl through fold down seat.

They just limited the number of PINs per day to 4 for each dealer. Not too long later, they upped it to 7. Still not enough though for all the PCMs, Keys and FIAT proxy configs we have to do. I had to let a van sit for 3 days last week to get my PIN number for a PCM. Complete BS. As a customer, you might just end up having to pay 30 bucks from FCA to get your PIN and have to call a locksmith to program it.

I got my 2008 Town and Country with a FOBIK that was held together with tape, lucky for me there is a recall on all 2008 - 2010 Town and Country and Grand Caravans for the Wireless ignition control module and they give you 2 brand new FOBIKS with it. They also replace the occupant restraint module which controls the airbags.

The Launch X431 V Has TPMS capabilities, Why didn't you use it to check the Remote instead of the dedicated TPMS tool? Besides ease of accessibility, Is there a reason? Is the performance of the Dedicated TPMS tool better than that of the Launch X431 V? Please advice.

Eric I have a 2016 Ram 3500, same programmer, and i am getting an error saying that the ignition is not in off/lock when I program it. Same type of key but instructions say to have the key in off/lock to program. Have you tried to program later model Rams?

You can't just go to any hardware store around here. Because they will refuse to do it without buying the key from them. Your best bet here in Maryland is going to Maryland locksmith in Glen. Burnie.
