Honda Accord: Front Wheel Bearing Press In Style Bob: I swear all the Japanese makes use the same bearing. same style at least. same process. I've done my Ford Escape (Mazda) a bunch over the years and if you do it once, you're good for the future. just remember that snap ring. lmao.

Amazing how fast eric gets these parts to do what he wants. Things move way faster in his shop than they do under my shade tree. I need me a lift and some fancy tools and zillions of hours of experience so I can be that good. Trust me if I tried to record me doing this job and showing you I'd have to edit 10 hours of footage down to about 2 hours.

Works perfectly 50% of the times. ROFL!
By the way Eric, when you get tired of having greasy hands, you should open a mechanic troubleshooting school. We may loose your videos, but I believe you are the best troubleshooter mechanic in whole USA.

I worked in industrial maintenance for 40+ years and when we had those press in bearings we would put the bearing in our blast freezer(frozen food factory) for about 3 hours are so and the bearing would slide in real nice saved us many heart aches!

I have to say this. Eric if you moved to the west coast you wouldn't have the amount of rust, crust and bust. You sir. are a fantastic mechanic and I love to watch your vids. Keep up the good work in and out of the shop!

I was thinking 'why isn't Eric using his hub grappler to pull the hub out instead of a slide Hammer'. but then u mentioned the OTC kit. still kinda wondering why u didn't use the hub pulller. seems like an easier way.
reply

Eric, have you ever had to do the hub over disc system that Honda used on their old vehicles? If so, how did you tackle it? Asking cuz i have an old 96 Accord that needs new front brake discs and pads.
reply

I was trying to mentally tally up the cost of the tools and equipment you used for this. I'm guessing a 1000 for the hand tools another 15K for the lift and air compressor? Then there's the overhead costs.

Your new impact seems to be a
Butt kicker Eric! You guys up in
New York got hammered the last
few weeks by snow now the Mid
West is getting hammered with
Blizzards, stay safe out there!

Sooo. The outer race was pressed in AND had a snap ring, but the inner race was just pressed onto the hub, right? The automakers must really LOVE salt cuz they sell 3X as many cars. What a mess.
