Now that we figured out in the first video why this Jeep Compass would not run it is time to come up with a solution to the problem. Let's see what we can do to fix it and get it back on the road

I aint for shit mechanic and never was. I have always watch my uncles working on junk something thats sat for 8years and gets it running so we could make it to town. Tons and tons of fords and i hate and i mean hate the newer fords if its 97 and up they're junk cause i cant figure them out. Idk how to read a scan tool really just some info from manual and YouTube teacher.

lol I had to do this repair one time. went to the yard to find a vehicle with similar setup so I could scavenge. cut clear out. This problem might be too common.
Also, the only thing wrong with your soldering was your iron tbh. Not enough thermal mass for that job, but you weren't in a giant hurry and it got the job done eventually.

I really appreciate the detailed video. Im actually having the exact same issue with my 2011 compass. I didn't realize til I watched your video I replaced the wrong relay. I narrowed it down to my asd relay but I replaced the low speed fan relay. I'll get back at it tomorrow and see what happens. Thanks

I'm dealing with the same issue on my wife's Dodge Caliper. Do you think Fiat/Chrysler could have found a dumber place to stick a fuse box?
NOTE: There's a reason why Scotty Kilmer bashes Fiat/Chrysler at least three times in all his videos. They're shit. Don't buy them.

Good repair that's what I would have done. also with those vehicles when the voltage regulator goes bad I would just replace it or bypass the PCM with a remote voltage regulator old school style. Which I'm pretty sure you've already done a video on.

Great video and work I recently found my relay like that and retired it but still wont run so going to look at that power wire that jumps each relay cause I didnt notice or know that before 2008 Jeep Patriot owner here

I have been watching your videos a lot and think you do a great job explaining what you are doing as you do it.
i was wondering if this relay would send other codes as a result. such as a bad crank sensor code.
