Ford Escape: Front Brakes

I knock out a front brake job on a 2011 Ford Escape. Easy peasy pad and rotor swap. TopGun: Hey Eric, I have a 1995 Ford Explorer two wheel drive 4-wheel disc brakes with ABS. Any ideas as to what might be the problem in a brake system where there's a hard pedal for about a second ONLY during a panic stop other than that the braking system is just fine. I have good vacuum going to the brake booster (20 inches) the brake booster one-way valve is working properly. Parts that were replaced were the power booster, new brake pads front and rear, new brake fluid and brakes bled. The only thing that was not replaced was the master cylinder. The problem still exists after the above work was done. Could the master cylinder be my problem, I'm running out of things to replace. LOL I would hate to have to replace the master cylinder only to find out it's something else that I missed. Keep in mind it only happens during a panic stop, I have to stomp the pedal pretty hard for it to happen otherwise it's okay. I would appreciate your help on this one or anyone else that can shed some light on this situation. Thanks

Thanks Eric! Appreciate this, I own a 2012 Ford Escape 3. 0l and plan to keep for a long time, so any and all vids related to her is super awesome. I can't find the stab links you used. I'll keep looking, my Escape has about 143K with original stab links, no noise yet, but want to have parts handy if you know what I mean. I did the front brakes last month from one of your previous videos. Take care.

Hey South main Auto, Sorry I don't know your name. I watched your A/c video doing a condenser change out. And I noticed your Dye injector and I didn't write down the name. I'm searching the net and can't find it and I want to order one. Can you please tell me the brand name or as much info as you can give me. I use the little small bottle and they suck. but yours is so much better, Thanks

555 brand is made by Sankei. Genuine ones are made in Japan and quite pricey but they are solid. the best aftermarket ball joint maker since the 1970s. If Sankei-555 has an underchassis part for your vehicle, buy 555 instead of chinese or brands with unknown history or background.

Mrs. O has a sweet looking kitchen, looks like she could make anything in there. That was a nice lunch. I'm curious did Mrs. O add anything special to the fries? You should film her cooking more. You're a lucky man Mr. Eric O. in many ways.

We had a 2003 Tribute Escape Twin with the 3. 0. Sold it with 384, 000 miles on it, original engine and rebuilt transmission about 50k on it.
Replaced the brakes only twice, but the sway bar links 5 or 6 times!

My brakes rattle when I go over bumps, it's loud and embarrassing to where I'll set my foot on the brake pedal to stop the noise when I'm driving down a bumpy street. Any suggestions?

After all of these years in the biz and you're having to play beat the clock. I just get out the old trusty firewhacker 9000 and cut those lower ball studs right off the sway bar.

Great video once again. Simple break job vids are the best. Nice new pup as well. Did you have two huskies at one point? I think the one I havent seen in some time is chloe.

I think I wound up replacing those abs tone rings on mine 6 times in total. Enough that I have 2 spares in the center console.
