I usually inflate the tube a bit, so it will 'unwrinkle' and stay inside the tire, before I mount the 2nd side. This way it will have less chance of getting between the tire and the rim/wheel.

At work, we deflate tube and not tube tires after setting the bead because supposedly when it pops into place it's not perfectly set at least that what we're told.
