I am tacking care of some equipment at home and that includes my 2013 John Deere 5055E Tractor. I bought the tractor used last year with very low hours on it and the guy I bought it from had just changed the oil so I didn't bother with anything. Now I have put on just about 80hrs since owning it so it is time to carry out some basic maintenance including, engine oil and filter change, lube, fuel filter, air filters, tire pressures and hydraulic filter

Eric, It's a good idea when you change Filters to use a Sharpie Permanent Marker and mark on the end of the Filter the Date and Mileage / Hours and whether it was an Oil & Filter or Filter Only change. (I do this with all of my Cars, Trucks, Tractors, & Bulldozer). Also, if you go on the Internet you can get reasonably inexpensive plastic Dust Covers for your grease zerks, and they are available in various colors, -- I'd recommend getting caps of a contrasting color to the paint scheme of your equipment, it makes them easier to find so you don't miss any when lubeing the equipment. -- < Doc >.

watch loads of your videos, I worked for a John Deere dealership for 30 years, just a comment about tapping the dirty air filter, on the jd310 there used to be a sticker near the front tire saying do not tap on tire, I was doing just that one day as I noticed the sticker, I wont forget that, keep up the great videos

Nice day for doing the John Deere Maintenance. Do you have a cab for that? Do you have a snow thrower and/or a snow plow? A nice cab, maybe a cab heater, heavy duty snow thrower, SiriusXM radio for the tunes when plowing, a nice garage after plowing to help keep it clean. oh well. dreams and random thoughts.

I heard on a forum somewhere, that John Deeres are anti-DIY, and proprietary dealer serviceable machines like Apple devices, and German vehicles. Im definitely looking forward to seeing you work on these Dr. O.

Hey Eric, this might sound strange but next time you're near an air compressor blow out the alternator on that tractor. They will build up a lot of dirt inside them and can cause issues over time.

what did you expect, almost all American brands are made in China. look at you phone, tools, home hardware everything made in China.
If it's cheap, it's made in China.

Bring your Green painted tractor by SMA and you'll probably pay half of what the Green Shirts will charge you and you'll get the same or better service.
