A Chevy Truck With A List Edward: If the frame is shot why bother fixing all the problems with the truck. The truck can t pass inspection so can t be driven. The codes, abs and the oil pressure shouldn t have been bothered with until the owner was told and needed make a decision about whether he wants to throw money at a truck that has major problems.
I know I would be p - off if all that work was done on my truck and was told sorry won t pass with a cracked frame

Tire pressure sensor IDs. If the OEM type sensors are non-programmable and the aftermarket ones can be reprogrammed. why wouldn't the following method work? Write an arbitrary garbage ID that won't get immediately thrown out (all 0's probably won't work, nor will 12345. but 246810. might, etc) -- the OEM ones, being one-time programmable at the factory only, will refuse programming even after 3-5 tries; the aftermarket ones will take at least once in that number of attempts unless fried to the point where they need replacement anyways. You now know which sensors are aftermarket and which aren't, now assign valid IDs to the aftermarket sensors.
Sorry if this is a dumb q. I'm no Eric O; ) but you rock, dude.

Hi. Great work!
I find myself looking more at your videos than TV. I just got myself a diagnosing tool. (Foxwell 680 pro, due to some abnormalities in my electrical system. In my case, it was a mouse nest in my dash. Anyhow, the car ended up at the Mercedes dealers shop to change some modules.
I was wondering if you can please explain quickly what not to do with such tools. Seems like one can damage a vehicle if not careful.
Love your videos and looking forward to new episodes.
Sincerely

Thanks for your flex fuel alcohol content reset info. My mothers impala was at very reputable local
shop 3x for check engine light from rich codes, they said injectors were dirty ran a can of cleaner through
them, cleared codes and said it was fixed. 5 minutes later check engine light was back on all 3 times. After
I watched one of your videos I sent her back to that shop with a note saying RESET ALCOHOL CONTENT METER.
Car was fixed after that appointment.

I have a question, cars over in New York area seem to rust a lot due to the salt that gets thrown on the roads during winter time. Overhere in The Netherlands we have the same type of weather and also a lot of salt on the roads. Overhere we undercoat and put wax in the hollow spaces of cars for protection, don't you have that? Like Ziebart shops must be around? If it is done right cars should last longer then only 8 years.

No safety inspection in the People's Republic of Kalifornia. If you're following directly behind a vehicle and you can see the back and the front of the vehicle at the same time there's a good chance it's a Flex-Fuel with a Flex-Frame and the driver is an expert at Kalifornia windage. 'holding the steering wheel left or right and craning the neck a little.

So what do people do when the frame rots like that? Replace it imagine?
But I mean in my mind wouldn't that basically total the truck out?
Even if you get a lick em stick em inspection if you load the truck up with a heavy load it'd dang near bend the truck. I don't have inspections where I live, nor the salty conditions. Just wondering

You can get a 24 pack of rechargeable AA batteries on ebay for 10. and then you just rotate them into a cheap charger as they run down. You won't buy batteries again for 3 or 4 years; and you always have plenty of charged batteries laying around for all your flashlights. It was a different world after I went to rechargeable batteries.

People commenting on not passing inspection because of the aftermarket window tint, that's not only a NY thing. To be honest, I'm all for it too. Driving at night with aftermarket tinted windows can be kind of dangerous, or certainly more dangerous than with factory tinted glass. Now get off my lawn!
