being from pa side of hancock ny not far from ya i aprecriate the rust belt and the term rotted. It truly hits home watching you work on stuff with added parts or being fair like hey this part is bad but gotta replace the other three things to get to it cause its rotted and i cant get it seperated. i follow you an rainman ray and what a joy it is watching true work in real time being done. with the while we are here lets do this this an this. not an over sell. but shows how much easier that single job can be when you trying to pry around salt infested parts. and the family is huge. keep it up i will schedule and travel to see you

You should REALLY invest in a plasma cutter. They are relatively cheap; It's basically a welding tip that you hook an air compressor to, which will blow away the metal as you run the arc; (I'm sure you've heard of it. lol. That way you won't have to burn so much gas all the time, and use the plasma cutter when you zapping bolts off, etc.

thought duel exhaust meant ether side has its own exhaust pipe,
single pipe down the center kinda defeats the who purpose of what dual exhaust actually supposed to do,
musta been one of them tricky sales tactics. trick the customer in to thinking you actually have dual exhaust.
maybe im wrong. im sure somebody will tell me.

It's funny how my Sentra came with a stainless exhaust but the rear flange behind the driver's rear wheel is steel, lasted about 6 years. I was ready to bust out the flux core buzz box and booger weld it, but it had room for the cheap clamps so I just chopped out the flange and used a coupling.

Random questions, Mr O, but I feel that you are highly qualified to answer. What are your work boots? Do your feet feel good at the end of the day? I m looking for some good ones that don t murder the feet after wearing them all day. Love your work and videos. Thank you!

Eric, here in RI we get some pretty crazy rust too. I hit all customers' exhaust with high temperature paint before I hang them. You know how long a NAPA exhaust lasts! Gives you a few more years before you have to replace it again: )

I gotcha Eric, I was able to slow the video down to real time and know it actually took you 20 minutes. Still would like to hear the commentary, you always have some wisdom to share or just something funny to say.

I'm curious why he used the torch to remove the exhaust. I know the rust monster is worse up north, but using an oxy-acetylene torch is kind of expensive. Is it really cheaper to cut it off with a torch?

The night shift guys are pissed you're not leaving any work for them to earn their commission on, churning out quality work that fast during the day.
Great job, but slow it down ya eager beaver

Rusting exhaust used to be the most vulnerable part of an older car, little shops everywhere popped up to fix them. Along came catalytic converters and stainless, and they last far longer.

I enjoy this version of non talking entertainment. The music matches what you have going here. The one with the Trans swap I ended up not watching. This one has been enjoyable

Did that Altima have a dented bumper? Seems like the majority of Altima's here in the CA have dented rear bumpers cause the drivers of them are flying through traffic.
