Borla Exhaust On A C5 Corvette William: I've been wanting to put a different exhaust system on my 2000 Camry LE 4 cylinder. I think I found a muffler for it. It's the magnaflow cat back Performance issue 19410. But it's for 2018 to 2023 Camry with 2. 5 L engine. Still if I could have it modified to fit my Camry that would be so cool. It has a rubble tone to it but not to loud. First things first change the fuses in the cabin of the Camry. I might change all of the fuses in the engine bay as well. That's going to be an expensive job but it has to be done.

Always enjoy watching your videos Eric and was especially pleased to see you working on one of my favorite Corvettes, a C5. The Dark Bowling Green was a particularly rare color in 2001 (as it was in 2000, but still a favorite of mine since the mid-60's Corvette.
I love the idea and look of a nice stainless steel exhaust system on almost any car for it's durability and strength, but for less than half the price, a Titanium take-off from a C5 Z06 is a much better value in my opinion. Take-off's can be picked up for 500 (or less) quite easily and are a terrific value. They are less than half the weight, just as strong and virtually as durable, best of all they flow as well as most of the aftermarket systems. Yes the aftermarket systems do look good and most have an excellent sound to them, but in the end, that's all they offer, a bit more flash with more 'noise'. BTW, the Titanium system 'barks' quite nicely at mid to upper RPM's.
In the end the hardest part of the installation is the time it takes to align the tips because of the multi-piece system. It makes it possible to install the system on the ground without a lift, but typically sacrifices the original system (which may still have some value) and adds more time to the alignment process.
The sway bar end links were a pretty cut-rate item that should never have found their way on what was and is an otherwise terrific car. They typically failed early on many C5's irrespective of how the car was driven. The good news is they are inexpensive (even for excellent after market ones) and easy to change out.
Thanks again for the professionalism you show in all of your work, who the heck reads instructions these days, but it can save a lot of aggravation, time and even money.

I have a question off the topic of the Corvette we live in Georgia and my daughter had to take the Honda Odyssey out to Texas and back. We now have a service engine light accompanied by a traction control light. Traction control will not turn off. It was stuck on. There was a code indicating cylinder number for misfire there is no misfire. The motor is running, so smooth and quiet. You can t even tell it s running

Well, I actually like the engineering on the Corvette. In the olden days, I favored the Thunderbird. But since it went away, all there is left is the Corvette. The old muscle cars had the power, but not the style. I see today's sports cars as fakers, except Ferrari. Even Massaratti is a faker these days. The Venom is cool though. Thanks for sharing! Stay Healthy!

Nice work Eric! I bought a Thunderbird Pacific Coast Roadster in 2004, and the 1st and only mod I made was a Borla exhaust. Not loud at all, but it does have a lil more 'throat' to it. Still have the car today and it's got a whopping 22K miles on it! That's a beautiful Corvette. I hope you can find the time to bring us along for the rest of the work!

Did a similar job on the Mustang the other week, swapped out the boring old factory center resonator for a h-pipe. All the reciprosaw fun but with the extra spice that the pipe cuts had to be made right next to the gas tank.
I had to do it on jack stands so my cat was able to occasionally come by and give me a solid headbutt of encouragement.

I use drivers side and passenger side when I take my dog into the vet's office, Can you look at her passenger side front paw, he laughs, but says there is no confusion as to what side I mean. She is an English Shepard, and he does look at me funny when I ask him to check under her bonnet though.

Modified exhausts are illegal in NY, shops will take the brunt of the fines if caught. 1000 are the current fine amounts. I haven't heard of any enforcement of the law but the state likes their money. If caught 3 times in 18 months they'll take away your inspection and operating certificate.

I hope you and Mrs O went for a little rip afterward blasting some Crew on the radio and reliving the days. Montly Crew that is. not 2live Crew. You'd have all the people in Avoca clutching their pearls if you blasted that.

I put a Borla exhaust on a 1st gen Focus about 15 years ago. The quality and direct fit was the best I have ever seen, being able to do it in my driveway plus it sounded awesome without being like a fart can.

While it is illegal for a sports car to come in any color other than black, red or silver, somehow the forest green with tan convertible works for me.
Maybe because it emulates British racing?

Love that glass spray cleaner brand, Not as streak free as Stoner. But it smells like the cleaner they used to use the bowling center when they still used grease pencils on overhead projector scoring machines.

Nice work as always.
However, I was under the impression that installing an after market exhaust was illegal in the great state of NY.
I live in Staten Island
Ok never mind I just saw the answer

You're supposed to wear khaki shorts, white ankle socks and white tennis shoes while driving that at all times! Also, break out some detail spray and tire shine before you pull it out of the shop.

Glad to see a nice orange can of the best penetrating oil in the world? Everyone uses PB and wonders why it doesn't do much? Used them all, nothing beats that Kroil, for me at least? Great job, sir.
