You have probably been told this a hundred times by now, but what your experiencing with the Mazda hardware is classic galling, Those of us who swing wrenches in industrial settings carry everything from Malox to Vaseline to regular Never-Seez for assembly of high nickel alloy fasteners in high temp enviroments (stainless steels, monel and inconel etc.
Stainless fasteners will (and often do) seize tight while hand threading them together. Bang! Cold welded, break out the plasma. Unfortunately, it seems whatever Mazda uses as assembly lube doesn't have adequate long term lubricity, and leaves you with tight and unprotected fasteners which gall as soon as you move them, I know of no solution that will get the lube into the threads and prevent removal seizing. It's on Mazda to use a proper long lasting anti-seize. Small credit to them for using high temp corrosion resistant alloy bolts where needed, but all credit is lost for lack of attention to detail in assembly. Double demerits for not publishing a service bulletin and fixing the problem.

Exedy is Japanese and oem clutch maker for hondoos, parts may be made elsewhere, you can tell when the anthromorphic characters have that extra cute factor to them its likely got Japanese design. The other Asian countries may try to emulate this type of art or design but never seem to get as cute as the Japanese do. Its strange tell and maybe only something asians are more attuned to.
Not always the case but generally Taiwan made stuff is a higher baseline than China. You definitely know from experience, again not always the case. All depends on price point and quality control and spec.

You know I had a lot of ass that I liked a lot but one of them was a '94 Mazda MX- 6 with a 5 speed! It was a fun car and it was an easy stick to teach someone how to drive stick with but also it was somewhat zippy! The V 6 models which had the same engine as the Ford probe gt! Now I never drove the Ford probe but I can tell ya this, with the Mazda mX 6 5 speed second and third gear felt just as peppy as first! It was a little race car! Fun cars! I would love to get another one but time has taken their toll I'm sure!

you use a lot of wd40 and I have to tell you that W D stands for water displacement, and is not a very good as a penetrating oil. You would have a lot less trouble on bolts using a good quality penetrating oil and let it sit for a while and don't use a impact gun to remove the nut, or bolt because that can cause heat and make it tighter.
The Miata is a very well made car and like anything of quality can be a little harder to work on until you work on enough of them.

The references to master and slave cylinders reminds me of a bit of Los Angeles lunacy in the 1980s. Someone noted that all the computers being installed had master hard drives and slave hard drives, which were both labeled as such on the hard drive boxes themselves and in the operating system. Los Angeles paid a FORTUNE to relabel the boxes and edit the software to change them to Primary and Secondary drives. No joke.

I am in the process of restoring a 1990 miata and had the same issues with power plant frame, especially that dang fancy shouldered long bolt in the rear. As for the trans and clutch after watching this video it may be easier to pull the engine and transmission out as one? Just have to drain coolant and pull radiator. I feel your pain and I had no lift. Just back stands.

just had a session on my Citroen C6 getting the swaybar (anti Roll bar mounted hydraulic suspension control bracket fine tuned to get the front ride height sorted. the trick is a blob of self etch primer and a hammer and chisel to ADJUST the loosened clamp. 20 thou equals around 1/2 inch ride height. clockwise LOWERS the ride height and the other way raises it.

I usually work on Subaru. Recently I did clutch change and water pump change on NA MX5. NA MX5 is such a messy designed car. There is no consistency in bolt size to begin with. On bell housing, there are 2 different types of bolts. Some bolts come with a nut. Some dont but different length. Then how MAZDA put all the parts together. Its a mess compared to Subaru.

Even though this is an old video and you may not see this, I always on Mazdas and French cars use a nut breaker to cut just the nut off and then fit a new one never broken a bolt or header stud for a few years now for the cost of some new decent quality stainless nuts

Eric u said in another video that your house and shop is paid for so u could pick and choose what car u want to work on. So from now on u should choose not to work on a mazda anymore. I've heard other mechanics in my area say they dont like mazdas either.
