Looking for a family car but don't want to buy an SUV? If you have one kid pick any car from the list, set your priorities straight, looks/reliability/warranty/anything, and you can't go wrong. If you have 2 kids or more and you don't want to put a roof box get the Octavia, the Civic or an estate.

This is actually a poor list. Mazda 3 not in there. The Civic is number 9. because of the infotainment. I mean you can use Android Auto and be done with it. Every other part of the car is easily top 3 territory, having far fewer weaknesses than some at the sharp end of the list.

Drove a diesel focus from northern germany to austria on the autobahn (1173 kms, almost all the way pedal to the metal, very comfortable for a 193cm (6'3-) height. Stopped once to pee and drink quickly. Average speed of 170km/h, tops around 210. Not bad ford, not bad

i still watch this show regularly and i wonder why when i basically disagree with the host's car interests and preferenecs. he's freaking out about all practically insignificant stuff. and he's just always trashing the VW.

No Seat Leon? The latest models in particular give the golf and Octavia a real run for their money and, in the golfs case, are far cheaper for exactly the same kit! I-d have my fr diesel over a gtd any day!

Focus best. Of course. But I believe that Mazda 3 should be positioned 3rd or 2nd here. Apart from rear passenger space it's really excellent overall. P. S. I own an Astra K 1. 6 CDTi 110.

Just bought an Infiniti q30 the other week. One of the best looking hatchbacks out there, super comfortable to drive and a fantastic interior. 1. 5 diesel is a great engine too!
