Usual hairdresser comments normally come from people who drive humdrum family cars, which just makes them look rather silly. The Mk3 TTs has pretty serious performance (300bhp+) and the ability to deploy that power onto the road via quattro etc, plus the driving dynamics have been improved on the latest one. I reckon one of these in coupe form would be a fabulous daily driver with a nice blend of abilities.

The gearbox isn't jerky at low speed. You hadn't turned off the hold assist (button below the handbrake one. Then you can drive it on the brake with auto creep and not the throttle like you were doing. Smooth as silk. Great car, very under rated and I can't believe people still do the 20 year old hairdresser jokes. Get over it. They all buy Mini's!

Suspension is one of those things that make no sense in consumer cars. Nobody wants to feel every bump in the road. We all want to float on a cloud, so sports suspension is the dumbest thing ever. My car must have incredible F1 suspension because I can feel everything, and I do mean every little pebble.

It's always funny to me when Mat says numbers like 33, 000 pounds. I'm not rich or anything, it's just that the pound is so much more valuable than the Aussie dollar, and cars are so expensive here. The TT S over here is 63, 000 pounds, or 114, 000 AUD

Sorry to say. maybe this car is comfortable and practical. but lack of centre infotainment will definately take this car down. no body will invest 40k in a car without centre infotainment. Audi why. just why. ---

Why are you using the accelerator when parking - just let the torque of the engine move the car at low speed and use the brake to control the speed. This is why they have 'anti-stall' software.

That's not suprisingly quick, late in the night i entered the corners in 85mph in a skoda octavia 1. 6d plus winter tires, I was seriously surprised how well it could handle corners.
