A Porsche 911 Turbo S will get quicker times more consistently then a 720s on a normal airfield / public road / race track straight. In a prepped dragstrip which nullifies the disadvantages of RWD vs AWD, yeah the 720s beats the 911 Turbo S, but that's literally the only scenario. So yeah, the 911 Turbo S is overall faster than the 720s. And it's more or less on the same level of the 765LT.
The SF90 is pretty much the King of 400m drag races (not counting electric BS 2000hp cars. With the Chiron being very close.
On a 1000 or 1600m race, the Koenigseggs (Regera, Agera RS) are the kings due to their very low weight and absurdly high HP.
F1 cars beat any road car (again, not counting electric 2000hp cars) in any 400m race.

I believe there was something wrong in the Drag race. I felt that the launch control wasn't done properly from the older Porsche. There's no way that the newer version can be almost a whole second quicker whereas it's almost the same engine. Get Yanni to come through and drag race, he knows how to drag race and has excellent timing when pulling off!
The older version and newer version shouldn't be miles apart, familiar similar possibly.
Just my thoughts here.

Looking to lease a new 911. Was going to lease a R8, but it is cheaper to lease the base 911. I like the C8, however, it's still a corvette and will be everywhere in the next few years. HELP ME MATT! I make $2500 weekly, no kids or major bills. I'm a fat American, so no MIATAS

Let's face it, the 991TS is still a very fast car so it's probably more cost-effective to remap etc a 991TS than upgrade to a 992TS, unless of course the additional suspension upgrades make it more cost-effective to go 992TS?

One simple question: how come the -old- Turbo S achives 10. 1 sec/ 402m in every video you make but in this one it made 10. 8 sec and the 992 made 10. 1 sec? It's a little bit set up so the old 911 look bad and the 992 to look good.

The 992 needs to be in sport mode for sound check, not sport plus. The sport plus does not sound as good since the engineers put all the power in that mode to the engine. Switch to sport plus for launch after sound check.

I would say again spoiler alert, Turbo S wins. That is amazing that the new one out does the old so extremely. I'm getting the 22 992. I wonder if they're going to come out with a point two addition right after I buy it?

All you have to do is do a tune for 3 grand and the 991. 2 will stay with or beat the 992. You put cutbacks, intercoolers, y pipe and tune and it destroys the 992. Cost about 14k installed. Runs easy 9s.

What-s the story behind the 911 HUL number plate? I-ve seen it on lots of 911-s.
I have a copy of CAR magazine, from 1986, with a test drive of the 911 turbo se. It had that same number plate.

There's only one car I would ever consider spending $200K plus on, and it's a 911 Turbo S 992. It's hard to think that Porsche could take the performance of these cars to a higher level than this.
