I don't think Mercedes will mess with the G's look much at all. Let's face it, it's more of a fashion accessory than a mode of transport. I also think it'll be on sale within 4 years. Why? Due to emissions regulations and/or taxes around the globe. Considering most G's trundle through congested cities anyway, battery power makes sense.

Lol quoting the range added of 187 miles to be the same for the electric gwagon shows how little of understanding Matt has with evs. This vehicle will have a fraction of the efficiency that the eqs has so if the charge rate is the same and the pack size then range added would be decreased directly with efficiency decrease.

The existing G class already weights 3. 3 US tons, take the engine out, replace with a lot more kwh heavy batteries, what's gonna drive like? Unless they put 4 big motors to power each wheel or make the whole frame Aluminum instead of now just hood, fenders & doors aluminum.

If they make an all electric G and if it's got at least 500 horsepower, preferably 700, it will sell like crazy! And they wouldn't even have to change up the front end. They just make it a storage compartment and keep the name, and loads of richer soccer moms will buy it

Why Mercedes wasting money with this and R&D. No one cares about electric cars. This should have an awesome naturalally aspirated v8 or v12 with good proper exhaust sounds. Pathetic for Mercedes. Very disappointing. Clearly car manufacturers don't care anymore these days.

The best thing in my opinion about ANY electric vehicle is that we won't have -noisy little shits- running around the street in their noisy little -peep-peeps- to draw attention to their pathetic selves. Unfortunately it is some years away yet.

This is my theory on why car manufacturers makes electric vehicles so freaking ugly-
They want to release the ugly design now so they can make it look better over time come out with -newer- designs every year.

The G-Class is an air suspension away from greatness off road. It has really pitiful ground clearance, especially now they put those ridiculous side exhaust pipes. The front suspension has almost no suspension travel.

The eqs is an electric car by mercedes and its the best electric car in my opinion it has mini tvs in the back it looks cool it-s comfortable it sounds like a gas car but its not its so cool
