It-s time for a video you didn-t realise you needed in your life- Until today! We-ve brought in the Fiat Panda Cross to go head-to-head against the Tesla Model X across a series of off-road challenges! We know what you're thinking - this might be one of our most ridiculous comparisons yet! But let's see how they compare. Starting with the Fiat, it-s powered by a 900cc 2 cylinder turbocharged engine, which has the ability to put down 85hp and 145Nm of torque. It comes equipped with a 6-speed manual gearbox, and it weighs just 1, 165kg. It-s fair to say the Model X is the total opposite of the Panda! Powered by two electric motors, it can put down 417hp and 660Nm. When it comes to weight, it-s heavier than two Pandas combined, tipping the scales at over 2, 500kg! The question is, can a -95, 000 EV triumph over an -18, 500 Fiat off-road? It-s time to find out!

Where did you guys get the Ground Clearance stats? They are very incorrect. The Fiat Panda 4x4 Cross has 161mm ground clearance, and the Tesla X 137mm. If the Fiat Panda 4x4 Cross actually had 261mm of ground clearance, as yo mentioned, it would have bigger ground clearance than a Toyota 4Runner TRD PRO or a Jeep Wrangler, both which are much bigger and make the Panda look like a toy car.
That being said, I'd love to own a Fiat Panda in the United States. Our family has Toyota 4Runner (your hilux, and Jeep Wranglers, but a tiny capable Panda would be plenty of fun too.

I literally HATE Fiats, i hate fake offroader/SUVs. but in this case. i would prefer a dumb, ugly, low powered Fiat Panda over a even WORSE TESLA!
I dont get the tesla hype. ofc a tesla accelerates faster than my Subaru WRX, but somehow on highways Teslas easily SUCKS because of poor top speed (and lack of acceleration at higher speed, and im saying that as someone who is more -hypermiling- than driving.

Is it really a surprise? In the Alps region (in Italy) Panda cross is the most widespread car. I've talked to people that decided to buy one after having had different SUV. They say Panda performs in winter on the mountains much better than any other SUV. Of course the comfort in long journeys on the motorway is not good, but for the daily needs on the mountains it is simply unbeatable.

Matt, maybe do more panda vids. I used to have one, they-re great for their size, and they have a bit of character. The interior in mine was not well insulated so the noise from the engine was quite loud. Holding a conversation in it while driving was hilariously challenging.
Still, I loved my panda. It was very practical for where I lived.

Knew the Panda would win before even watching the vid. A mate had one of the earlier models and it was a pocket monster. We'd take it through the horseshoe pass in North Wales during winter and drive on past stuck Land rovers! It's really an exceptional little motor.

-James sees his vedio-
James: So the total dmg done will cost u around 50k Dollars: D
Mat: Ok, James i be going
James: Not before u pay for dmg
Mat: Catch me if u can
James: .

Honestly the old small cars are the best, you can just thrash them and not only do they perform well, you have no issues about damage because you can very easily just repair them in your own garage and be back on the road for next to nothing.

How can one even call the Tesla model X a suv? Look at it! It's a normal 4x4 road car. It is like calling a Audi 100 quattro a suv. Even my Volvo 142 from 1974 had more gruond clearance than that. Don't get me wrong, i do like the Tesla.

Well, i'll never use that impressive 400+hp tesla suv to go off-roading in some woods or off the beaten path area. just dont wanna stuck in the middle of nowhere if it suddenly runs out of juice

Yes, and this $1 steel hammer drives a nail much better than this $40 woodworker's mallet. The Panda is awesome at what it does, and a great value. The Tesla is built for another purpose.
