Hi Mat,
thanks for the interesting video. My guess is that the Porsche came so close to the Corvette and even beat it twice, because of better aero(Top speed: 308 kph vs 299 kph. Aero is really important at high speeds. The Porsche probably would have won every race against the Corvette if it didn't have to carry two more cameras. I know those cameras are tiny, but in aerodynamics one or two mms can make all the difference, especially the additional front camera. GRIP tested both those cars and the Porsche won by quite a margin.

The fact that they are not even racing the C8 in the Track mode is making this comparison useless. And the PTM is not set to Race 1 or Race 2 either. You won't have full engine power without the proper settings. And in manual mode why starting at 3, 8k RPM in 3rd gear, instead of using 2nd gear for more power band using at high rpm?

Dunno why you rant about the soft limiters put the car in park, and not neutral and it won t soft limit. Technicians have to be able to statically diagnose vehicles and some times this requires revving the engines past 3k rpm. Every manufacturer will have a soft limiter bypass and it s usually way more simple than you think

One of the senses is sound. This isn't old school thinking. It just gets the blood moving hearing those leg pipes roar.

Great video Carwow! We should have more of this. Normally German cars (BMW, Porsche, Audi, Mercedes) are only compared with each other. Hardly we see comparisons between the Germans and other manufacturers.

I'm used to GM letting America down so even though the Porche has way less power, it's not surprising. GM just can't make fast cars. Try the same race with the GT500. Go ahead, hate on my comment fanboys

Who orders a corvette in colour with sparkles ontop. Literally the worst spec car I ve ever seen in my life. What an achievement wrecking a really cool car and it ll definitely damage its future value.
