At the end, Matt summed it up perfectly.
No one wants a boosted 4-banger in their Benz. Everybody wants a V8 Hammer in their Benz
They decided to take a working engine out of the CLA 63, and add so much cake that you'll forget it's really light on stake. And they are having emissions problems with the V8 anyway. About 80k USD

I don't think V8's had any more power potential in the long run, ofc however with the electric motors Mercedes knows the jump of power and power potential in the future is huge. Sound will ofc be missed but we already know that pet/diesel new car sales will stop in 2030. So now is the time to get started for that 2030 phase.

Wow really 400kilos more for a lousy 200hp from a mini motor that lasts 3 seconds lol. Mercedes just showcasing all the tech to make the car appealing on paper, but we all know it is a massive downgrade from a v8 not to mention the reliability issues with the latest hybrid systems they put out on recent models (ie 48v hybrid.

Thing is, i can allready tell that this will not sell and remain in history as well as the previous generagions of C63, people bought them because they were german muscle cars, they had RWD, big V8 and pretty heavy handling, they now took all of it's selling points away goving it 4WD and a damn 4 cylinder

In my opinion Matt is more of a product manager in this interview it appears he knows more of the C63 it's highs and lows and it's arch rivals.
it's the powerful of the trio 680kw/1020Nm and official it's 3. 4 that's disappointing cant wait for the actual test.

The German guy in minute 5: 13 he answered a question that been running in my head for over 6 years he said that the AMG model is front longer than the standard C class because i always wanted to swap the C class to amg but obviously not working thank u German guy

This is much heavier than the 2022 Cadillac CT5-V blackwing which has 668hp from a supercharged V8 over and a 6 speed manual option and 10 speed automatic plus 209mph top speed. I wish this used a V8 and had a manual transmission option. It looks very good

I wish more people like Matt could provide feedback to these car manufacturers before they commit to their design decisions. Of course with no V8 this thing is dead to me so it wouldn't matter if they fixed the design much I suppose. RIP AMG C63

They have to make a C63 PRO E-Performance with wild aero and carbon seats AND REAR FLARED FENDERS. cant believe they kept the rear stock, its the most important part of the package! its when you gap an M3, you wanna show your car phatazz!

This makes the M3 a lot more valuable and I now forgive BMW for that grille cuz I'd much rather have that rather than a 4 cylinder AMG. C63 weighs more than an M5 but has an engine of a Civic. Damn mercedes going backwards.

I mean what's the point? I don't care if it has 200 hp more if that hp isn't as enjoyable and when you make a range topping car, in my opinion, it needs special engine and noise - something to justify the huge price
