I think that very soon there will be problems related to the need for electric energy and places to charge. At the same time, electric vehicles are inappropriately expensive, and practical only for short distances. Weight is also a problem, because the batteries are heavy, and that requires a stronger electric motor. At the same time, intermediate speeds are just a marketing trick, and the essentials have been pushed aside. Driving on the highway and enormous consumption, and charging time. If the charging time for a 500 km range is reduced to 5 minutes, everything makes sense, but who has that much money to buy such a vehicle.

Well, we've been seeing reviews on this for around six months. are you at the back of the queue with press cars, or you too busy doing pointless drag races; )
Anyway, you think cheap plastic is OK at this price point. 35K plus!
More over priced EVs. no thanks diesel for me
I just don't understand why people aren't waiting a couple of years for a better charging infrastructure, and better priced Asian (Chinese) EVs, so all these premium overpriced (including Korean) are forced to be more competitively priced. what's the rush?

You can choose:
If you don't need a front boot and like to have the air condition unit under the front hood connected to the motor/electronic cooling system and buy the optional second floor for the boot - buy the Megane.
If you want a rear driven car with long wiring (and cooling ducts) from front to the motor and air condition unit in passengers room to get a front boot (or not) - buy another car.

Its really good looking, and a super nice stance - but it s rather not so practical. The rear seat mount is really not optimal for transporting more stuff. Also it s evident that many classic carmakers are having troubles really committing to the possibilities that EV offers - in that regard Tesla is far ahead. Nearly every EV should have a front booth and plenty of airy space inside.

Only ever owned two Renaults both had nothing but electrical problems the last one the ECU kept failing in the last six months of warranty all they did was re-boot it 4x they warned me if it goes again it will not under warranty and will cost over 800 pounds and this was an old Laguna so well over ten years ago so I said to my self I will never by another Renault and never will

So. why exactly do you love this car? The exterior is ok, the interior is a mixed bag, the practicality is a mixed bag, the driving is decent but nothing to write home about.
Seems to me like Renault focused on entirely the wrong things. Also what is that horrible clank the rear door made when you closed it? Even a Citroen feels better build.

Starting at 36, 000 pounds? Not really seeing enough to justify that kind of money. I'm sure it's fine, but there's nothing there that really makes me want it - and for that money there needs to be. It'd be okay as a pool car or rental - but I wouldn't spend that much of my own money on it. It just doesn't do enough to justify that money.

Love how car manufacturers are now forcing people to buy EV's by slowly removing their ICE variants, can't wait for the industry to collapse when nobody can buy them because of the prices and the fact there will be limited means to charge them or even afford the electricity. WEF agenda keeps moving on unabated.

I've seen it a few times and it looks good. But as a french person I am tired of the french obsession for FWD, especially when Renault as proven that they can make an excellent RWD car with the Alpine. A brand new platform like this one could have been the opportunity to change that, but no.

The Renault group is some of the few Automakers to counter the BEV trend of an apartment worthy on wheels. If they increase more the production numbers of the Dacia Spring, so as a similar Renault badge model, they would sell them as hot cakes.

In my opinion:
1. Giant wheels respect the car's body
2. R. I. P one of my favourite cars. megane rs
3. Price and space are not the best. ok the tecnology but it is like that
So. I'll miss the old megane and the priovous ones

The subdued take-off is absolutely necessary and a sensible design choice for the FWD layout - my wife's previous gen e-Niro is a nightmare of wheelspin if you're a little enthusiastic off the line, or even at 30mph in the wet!

34 seconds through the video and i already dislike this car. So just like that, its goodbye to the nurburgring FWD fast hatchbacks. This new one does not look any good too. The RS trophy was a thing of beauty and performance
