Meet the most powerful S-Class ever - the all-new Mercedes-AMG S63 E Performance! It s the AMG version of Mercedes s most luxurious limo, and it arrives with a whole load of upgrades over the standard S-Class! So let s see what s different. Starting with the design, there are a number of exterior changes to the regular car. Up front, the S63 comes equipped with an AMG grille (a first time for the S-Class) along with some bigger air intakes and carbon trim. Along the side, there are side skirts along with top-of-the-range forged wheels, and around the back, you ll find quad tailpipes, a diffuser and some AMG badging. The changes don t stop there, either! Step inside and the S63 is equipped with an AMG steering wheel, along with AMG badging throughout the cabin. The S63 also comes with a number of display updates, with AMG-specific dials available, along with performance and track pace data on the infotainment screen. The rest of the dash is also available in carbon fibre. The new S63 is the first available as a hybrid, and as a result, it delivers some serious power! Not only is it equipped with a 4-litre twin-turbo V8, but there s an electric motor mounted to the rear axel! They work together to put down an eye-watering 802hp and 1, 430Nm! This is enough to propel the S63 to 60mph in just 3. 3 seconds!

This thing is cool and all, but I really miss when a car was a car, not a network of computer systems that happened to be on wheels. All I hear when they're talking about features that the car has is parts and systems that will break, and will be unrepairable by anyone other than Mercedes. I don't understand why AMG cars, which are supposed to be fun sports cars to drive come with all these computer systems to make them easier to drive. Give me a decently powered ICE, a manual gear box, and rear wheel drive. I don't want a computer that adjusts the roll rate using air suspension. Car companies have become so lost these days.

It is truly gorgeous in white. This AMG styling has made the S-Class exterior look good again. Sadly, the interior will need a complete redesign from a blank sheet. Whatever they were thinking when they designed it. No, that interior doesn't work. Also, that steering wheel is just catastrophic.

Mat Watson tell us the truth! Did they asked you to NOT ASK THE FULL QUESTION? WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE BATTERY IS DEPLETED AND SOME OF THE POWER IS USED TO KEEP A REASONABLE CHARGE LEVEL, HOW MANY HP DO YOU HAVE AT THE WHEEL? AND MOST IMPORTANTLY FOR RICH GERMAN DRIVERS, AFTER HOW MANY KM THE BATTERY IS DEPLETED AT FULL THROTTLE? For the rest of the world the 350d is plenty enough

Something Elon the Fake Genius Musk never understood is that cars are an expensive consumer item - that is - they are a way for us to say something about ourselves to the rest of the world. Drive a Tesla today and you're saying I support a fascist f ckwit. What a genius. 'This machine thrills fascists'. Go ahead. get the red spray paint.

Call me old school, but on one hand, I think they have made a very German mistake of making everything too powerful. But on the other hand, I think they are trying to give internal combustion engine one last hurrah and squeeze out every hp from the engine before everything turns electric

It's only available in the long wheelbase model? That's a shame, I think when you pick the most sporty version you want to have a better driving experience as a driver so the long wheelbase doesnt suit the sportiness. I think a regular short-wheelbase would be better for the S63

Matt is a very clever host for these videos, keeping it real and not letting the product specialists dissolve into hyperbole, pure specs and marketing speak. Real cool format, but this product marketing manager was also a good foil, with at least some humor.

Real let down from Mercedes. All their exteriors and interiors are starting to look the same, an untrained eye can t even tell the C, E, or S apart. The previous generation S-class was the best Mercedes ever made and will forever remain.

Amg sent someone that was ready for Mat this time haha. I lived in Germany for quite sometime, its hard for some Germans to go to english and catch all the nuisances and jokes at times so good on this guy!

somehow it feels odd that in times of climate protection debates and the launch of electric cars in the name of reaching them, an 800hp AMG model is being released - I don't want to be that do-gooder: )

This new Mercedes-AMG S63 looks so cool, futuristic and sporty and have an insane 802hp and 1430Nm of torque from a lovely 4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine and a electric motor! I love the Mercedes-AMG S63!

Grill is rubbish. Not at all an S Class, easily mistaken for an E class or smaller on the road. Lost all presence and style using the mass produced AMG grill. Hopefully standard grill is an option.

Mat being worried about breaking everything shows his journalism skills he just knows how most ppl drive or treat their cars
Just take care of your stuff it ain't that hard

Though awkward, it was fun to watch them bicker about anything and everything. They probably don t trust Matt being alone with the car, it could get traumatized. Great chaperon.
