Ariel Motor Company is famous for their Ariel Atom, Ariel Nomad and Ariel Ace, but did you know the Ariel of today actually started 150 years ago? From penny-farthing bikes to iconic motorcycles like the Ariel Red Hunter, Ariel Square Four and Ariel Cyclone, this small British manufacturer set the stage for success but died under poor leadership. Now back from the dead, the Ariel of today makes ultra-low production, ultra-lightweight speed monsters. So hold on to your face and join host James Pumphrey as he gets you Up To Speed on the exciting history of Ariel Motor Company!

pames jumphery won't comment back and pick my first car
1. Na miata
Pros: has pop up up and down headlights, only 28k miles, hard top and soft top, insurance is lower because it's old and not a lot of buff horses, easy to mod (thanks to our boy zach jobe, go watch his recent money pit video)
Cons: A bit expensive because of the condition, not good for winter because rwd.
2. 04 wrx sti
Pros: awd so good for all conditions, easy to modify, one of my dream cars, not very expensive, has a decent amount of buff horses.
Cons: high mileage, has a few problems that i'd need to fix, insurance will be higher.

James babeh! Love your work, hope you are taking care of yourself! Would really really like to see an Up to Speed episode on the Jeep Skunkworks concept vehicles. I got to do Easter Jeep Safari with them a few years back. It's amazing that these one of a kind vehicles are taken out on the trails of Moab to be beaten up and tested on real off-road trails.

Glad to see that James is back to his usual self again, but it is quite obvious that this was an old footage that was prerecorded way before the new ones were released as James's beard just grew back so quickly, anyway really enjoy the great content and looking forward to more up to speed videos as always, Cheers.

Hello from BirmingHAM, England! When I was a kid my dad found a 50s Ariel VB buried in our back garden. Kinda handy (some say too handy) as he s a lifelong Brit bike fan. He dug it up, restored it and still has it running on the road 20 years later. The original (Lucas) headlight bulb even worked!

When I saw James Mo Powah Babeh Pumphrey on the Dirt 5 trailer I told myself I'd get a PS4 just 'cause Donut is on it. Gotta say, it makes me happy to see these guys make an impact in the car world. Soon enough, Donut will be hosting race events like its Group B

You guys should do a special episode at some point with and up to speed on donut media to show us how this all started. I would personally ive to hear the story of how this all evolved. And thank you guys for the consistently great content.
