It s a simple question: Which state has the best used cars? We did the research so you don t have to. Not only will we tell you which of the 50 states has the best, but we ll also cover which has the worst, and the answer may surprise you. It surprised me! Matthew: Nice! I liked this. Be cool to see the best state to buy a project car? or classic car. On the flip, California seems to be known for their classic cars because of the long history of a ton of people in California and lack of rust due to weather.

In Ohio, a lot of people go to Pennsylvania to buy used cars. It's only about an hour or so away and they have actual safety inspections, not just e-checks. And the inspections are extremely aggressive against rust. The tiniest little rust hole in a frame rail essentially totals the car due to the cost of a proper repair. So people sell the car for pennies on the dollar and Ohio residents pick it up and drive it safely for years to come.

I feel like used car price should not be tied with maintenance cost when looking state to state. Say if u were to look for a used car nationwide like if u live in ohio n want to buy a car is it cheaper in oklahoma to look or georgia or washington. I mean your not keeping it in those states your coming back to ohio. U can get dumb cheap cars in jersey but u dont wanna pay for it there long term. Just do a title transfer n get home.

I hate the fact my state doesn t have any cool cars. I ve seen ONE Lamborghini hurucan. A single Ferrari 458, and I think he was just passing through Boise lol. We have classic car guys. I ve seen a couple split window corvettes, always cool. And there is a guy about 3 miles up the road from me that owns a Maserati Ghibli, so yes they exist here in Idaho. Pretty lame car to see though honestly.

This Wheel House is weird. Your TT&L Insurance and inspection if applicable are payed to the state you live in and or register it in, not the one you buy it in. The short version should be buy from a populous state away from the ocean and snow (Texas) and then take it home, remove the front license plate bracket and call it a day. I have several times and would recommend it.

Id say Florida and texas for trucks/jeep style things but florida usually has a lot of rust, or like nevada area, but people dont really sell too many trucks here, because they do pretty good and people usually keep them for a long time here, but so cal is prolly the best for cars in general

Sees tab ha, the salted rusty cars suck around here. No way New Hampshire is anywhere on this list Ties for first place xD The cars are pretty cheap and if you know where to look for pesky rust, itll make the world of difference when it comes to inspection (which is pretty strict imo)

Nebraska has some of the best deals ever I found a 2010 Taurus Sho loaded 50k msrp in 2010 found it with 14k miles and snagged it for 10k it was an absolute steal compared to the 16k my friend paid for a salvage title one with 55k

you think salt is bad in ND some trucks pour a liquid on the ice that melts it and it gets sprayed by tires and puts a hazy coating on your car they have only been using it for 2 years so it is unknown how much it affects rust.

I live in California taxes and smogs are the worst but it's a good negotiation point. Sell the car or its gonna cost more to keep it. I got my first s14 for 2800 took me forever to smog. Second s14 was 1600. Never smogged.
