Doug really is just wrong about this vehicle being the Gold Standard. He hasn t even reviewed the Ford Expedition yet. The Expedition beats this vehicle in so many ways. I hope Doug reviews the Expedition. He will eat his words if he sees how much better the Expedition is despite it being out for several years longer.

My uncle still has his 2004 Chevy Tahoe since new. The thing has 180, 000 miles and has the reliability of a Toyota. Still runs like new. The most expensive repair that was done to the car was probably the O2 sensors. I don't know about this new one though, I feel like the electronics won't last very long.

13: 00 - The tachometer OFF is because it has an auto-stop engine for fuel economy, and AUTO STOP 0 RPM is a different needle-pointing-location than VEHICLE OFF 0 RPM. So you can tell at a glance if no more noise or vibration is due to fuel economy mode or actual-vehicle-off mode.

So they got rid of cheap plastic in the areas you don't touch a lot but kept it in the places you do touch a lot like the steering wheel buttons the gear selector and the climate controls why

It's the size of a single-wide trailer. how do you park that thing? Exterior screams yuppy boring AF car to impressive the other neighbors that nobody likes, but interior is very cool.

I m so used to you being taller than most of the cars you review (especially SUV s, it s hilarious seeing you look small next to a car. That just goes to show just how huge this truck is.

The engine hour display in the gauge cluster would be useful for police or even fire departments to use the Tahoe and it's a good way to measure how long the engines been running

Doug: This pushbutton/ toggle button gear selector is ridiculous
Also Doug: Column shifters are old and ugly so I guess I prefer the new shifter because new is always better
