The 1991 Honda Civic Si -- the EF Civic Hatchback -- is a special car that was an early example of a hot hatchback. Today I'm reviewing the Civic Si, and I'm going to show you all the quirks and features of the EF Civic Si hatchback. I'm also going to drive the Si and show you what it's like on the road. Sage: Doug, I love the vids but I d love to see this 90 s economy car in eye tingling 4K. A lot of your viewers I know would enjoy all of the quirks and features in more pixels! Thank you dad.

Strongly disagree with his statement on nobody wanting to buy a car like this today. Not everyone wants a ton of features and tech. Some people would love a basic fun car like this (with modern safety features. I would personally love a small Honda hatchback with a K20 in it and a 6 speed manual. Put in a good stereo, some nice seats, make it handle well, and it would be fantastic.

the seatbelt is on the door so you can leave it buckled, open the door and slide in and out. That way they didn't have to use the motorized trundle that would move the shoulder belt. Pre air bag safety feature

I'd like to see a MR2 SW20 review. That would put us one step closer to rounding out the 90's JDM legends and as an owner, I can attest to the quirkiness of the vehicle. Keep up the good work Doug.

I thought the seat belt was like that so they could get around having an airbag by having automatic seat belts. So you would have it clicked in and open the door without having to unbuckle.

Only the seat isn't original? Going from memory I believe the door handles were monochromatic along with the mirrors. Also the rims look very basic from the DX trim.

Love it when people put exhausts on these things to make them sound like airplanes and then proceed to drive through your neighborhood at 1am.

Actually there was another 2 door hatchback that had 70 hp and 83 lb. ft. of torque. At one point they called it the Civic HF for high fuel economy.

You should definitely check out so called hot hatches in India where hot hatchback like a Volkswagen polo with 108hp is considered a hot hatch

There's no rear storage cubby on the drive side because behind that panel is where the gas filler is located so there would be no room for one.
