Toyota sells way more cars than the likes of Honda, Nissan, Mazda and so on. Heck their revenue is higher than that of Honda & Nissan combined. They have significantly more production & human resources available than Honda & Nissan, and also happens to be much more financially solvent. Basically they can easily afford to invest in R&D that the others could not. Yet. Nissan did their homework and engineered a masterpiece in the form of GTR (R35) to succeed the legendary Skylike GTR. They did not leave the car half built, nor did they try to save money by getting some high performance engine from some other company. They made a solid foundation that didn't need fake plastic parts to appear tuner friendly and was designed to be as good as it could be. All that didn't take away GTR's tuner friendliness, infact it enabled it to be tuned to monstrosity. Honda[Acura] showed the same level of respect as Nissan did to their craft and their former headliner the NSX, and followed it up with another masterpiece. The new NSX does live up to the NSX name in its own unique way. It boasts a performance on par with European Supercars and doesn't hold back at all on the technical innovations part at all, retaining the base characteristics of the original. A genius hybrid system to enhance performance, great aerodynamic design, and a control system that optimizes all those to deliver amazing efficiency and mindblowing performance. Also it does all that while looking absolutely stunning. Toyota. can't be bothered with R&D, buys internals from BMW, intentionally makes it worse, and then puts it inside a body that was then designed to be objectively worse than it could be. Just to make it worse than the car it was copied from. They made a product, designed by executives not by engineers, it was not a product of passion or determination; devoid of originality, identity & a soul. . And hence the hate, even being more financially capable than the other 2 combined, Toyota took the cheapest way possible, didn't bother to innovate, or even try to make it as good as possible. Even the Reliant Robin has more integrity & character than this franknstein.

So. Toyota took a BMW, gutted most of the luxury, added cheap Toyota stuff here and there and then paid an 8 year old to sculpt a body most like his favorite Hot-Wheels car. That's how this car was born The only thing special about it is the BMW underneath. Toyota is so clueless on how to design a sports car that they just CAN'T do it themselves. I seen one of these at a dealer and. The rear end is HIDEOUS I would genuinely feel embarrassed to drive one of these. It's so gaudy. They would have done better just to slap Toyota badges on a Z4. The reason there's too much cooling and all this is because Toyota and all the ricers don't understand that German engineers already make incredible performance cars and engines from the factory. There's no need to mod a vehicle that's already perfectly balanced. What did they expect when the de-tuned an engine that is already capable of far more power and then threw 20 sq/ft of venting in to cool the engine? The quickest Toyota ever made. It's a BMW. Every time Toyota makes a claim about why this and that on this car it's LOL. No, Toyota didn't make anything stiffer or sharper or anything BMW did all of that when they designed the Z4 and now Toyota is just pulling all this out of their bums to make it sound like they put in all thiseffort to make this an extraordinary Toyota. It isn't even a Toyota. It's a freaking BMW Z4 with Toyota badges. Also. You're freaking nuts to rate this anywhere NEAR an M2. That's hilarious. The M2 is one of the most well received M cars since the E30 M3. It's a ridiculously better car than this trash.

the business aspect of it I don't quite understand as to why they merged on this vehicle cuz Toyota has shown especially with the 2JZ that they know how to build a strong reliable bulletproof ultra-fast motor and another thing that kind of baffled me that they should have done is look at Ford Chevy and Dodge have done with their muscle cars. over the last 10 years they've done versions of it where the grill on the Mustang look like the grill on the mach 2 to or look what Camaro did when they put hints of their muscle car from the 70s in their newer models. People love those cars look at the charger and Challenger. There's strong hints of the body style from the 70ies. I understand in vehicles get a complete redesign but people I think we're expecting it to look like the mark4 the Mark 5 etc and even for the design and the body lines it was definitely90s style body they had on the older ones but people love them they should have threw hints of that in there. I'm not a a fan of the creases near the rear tail light and the rear quarter panel and all these folds and creases on the front and going towards the middle of the grill it just looks weird. Querky. I highly doubtif they put strong hints of the body style that everybody loved that people would say oh my God why do they have to make it look like the mark 4 or the Mark 5 well that's because that's what people liked lol smh

Funny that people want their Supra to be reliable as if they intend to actually put enough miles on it to break it. Most of these cars wont see more than 13, 000 miles per year, because thats the US driving average. Then consider its a friggin Supra. Most people buying them probably have corollas or civics as dailys, so the usage goes down even further and the reliability issue goes right out the window. Its a second owner problem. The B58 should get you to 100, 000 miles with only minor maintenance and maybe MAYBE some repairs if you really abuse it or its stored in a terrible environment.

Toyota have made some strange choices for this 'flagship' sports car of theirs. All the fake vents and tuner-ready areas and the heavy heavy use of the BMW Z4 is odd. They need to try to be their own company but I cannot fault the car manufacturers for working together to produce iconic cars like this. If it meant having it or not having it then they should work together like the BRZ and GT86.

Huge disappointment for a Supra. Toyota should have just made their Lexus coupes a Supra instead of buying 5 year old Z cars and calling it new. You could not give me one of those. I would rather buy a model 3 and it would kill that car without trying. If you want a BMW buy a BMW. Doug looks like he is dying from the humidity and heat.

The only thing to make Toyota and its legendary brand: Supra a success, is to rename it Instead of the new Supra, rather it is better to name it the new Toyota Celica GTS. Yes Toyota, bring back that Celica and that GTSPlease Toyota, make a real Supra, with Toyota RnD engine that is a successor of the legendary 2JZ.

Dom: [looking at the junked Toyota Supra being hauled in] I said a ten-second car, not a ten-minute car. Jesse: You could push this across the finish line, or tow it. Dom: You couldn't even tow that across the finish line. Brian: No faith. Dom: I have faith in you, but this isn't a junkyard. This is a garage.

They took the normal supra. They improved it. It's faster, safer, and in my opinion looks better. It's an amazing daily because of the automatic transmission, it's faster, and even though BMW made a lot of it in the end it's still a Toyota, so it's reliable.
