a family friend of my dads has 2 of these v10 excursions and one day 20 of use went to a dirt bike race and all our dads the 4 of them got in 1 and the 16 of us pilled in the other and im not kidding we held 100 to 120 on the turn pike like it was nothing and i freaking loved it and wanted one ever since, for my first suv if im ever looking for one i hope i can find a v10 one of these

The expedition EL is just a new-age version of the Excursion. They re trying to offer the massive size without the fuel consumption ridiculousness. At least they re trying lol. But you can still buy god awfully inefficient 4 cylinders and 6 cylinders, it s not just cylinders that affect mileage.
Weight, aerodynamics, engine design and so on so forth.

The overhead console and media players weren't dealer options, but may have been installed pre-delivery. That antenna stretched out across the inside of the windshield is for a TV tuner. Pretty sure those are useless now. That steering wheel has been spray painted. It should be the same color as the steering column plastic.

That 6. 0 was designed and engineered for European diesel. A friend had the 6. 0 turbo diesel and it was always in the dealership getting sludge build up removed and the diesel fuel was clogging up the engine. It only made it 250, 000 kms before the engine blew up.

Excursion is not the only one with a full back doors which not interrupted by the wheel arch. GMC and Chevy Suburbans and the long wheel base Expedition also has the full size back doors just like the Excursion.

The 7. 3 diesel excursions are the cool ones. You don't see that many of them anymore unfortunately. Doug is right about them being absolutely massive

My dad owns a 2002 Eddie Bauer edition (Canada) with the V10 and has less then 100, 000 Km s, he bought it new and think he paid like 70 grand for it.
