The SL has always been an older target audience because it was that weird in between a sports car and gt car. Also the price, not many young people can afford it. I ve always loved them, but it really does have a stigma in the states or at least in California for sure. I personally don t see this working while the GT Roadster is in production for roughly the same amount of money. Give or take 25k. Not horrible looking though it s just odd. Soft top, A-Class front end, AMG GT rear end. Doesn t seem like it has much going for it. But hopefully it works out for them and they refine it in the years to come.

I'm not here to fully disagree with your opinion of the new range rover but I will say as a 2016 Range Rover owner, I think the new one makes mine look tremendously old. Mine has so many busy details everywhere, curves and panels and vents and details and the new one has smoothed all of those things out. I agree it's not the generational leap that the range rover has been known for making but I do think it looks different enough that existing range rovers will start looking old fast when the new ones hit the road.

The RS3 will be mega. It s already on sale in Europe and most of the reviews are positive. People love the it. And the iX also seems to do pretty well as does the Kia EV6. Imo the EV6 looks very cool and futuristic, already seen a couple of them in real life.
Oh and afaik the new SL basically is a new GT Cabrio. So the next gen GT won t have a convertible and it ll basically be a SL coupe

even if i agreed with the countach looking like countach, that instantly makes it not countach. Countach was crazy, bonkers car that was like nothing else. This car is at best like the old Countach and at worst the same generic shape Lambo's been putting out for the last 20 years with some flares and cut outs added in.

The KIA looks amazing, as do some of their other models (same with Hyundai. I just can't get on board with the brand/s and how they started up - by knocking off every other manufactures styling and selling it cheaper, like knock-off handbags. But damn, they do look good, reliable, etc.

i think there was so much (deserved) fanfare about how beautiful the 458 was that ferrari either consciously or subconsciously made it their new brand identity. i m hopeful they ll create a truly new shape in the future and an suv or sedan would be awesome!

Doug nailed it on every vehicle. especially the new Z, range rover & wrx. I saw all these at the LA auto show. The Z looks amazing! The Range Rover is still super luxurious but my wife had bo clue it was the new design & the wrx is just hideous.

a Ferrari SUV would be a cardinal sin powered by Enzo rolling in his grave. They need to make a separate brand if they are to do that. Sedans would be fine for a start, or cheaper sports cars like the new Z would be fine but just not trucks or SUVs

Great predictions! Sorry to hear that you didn't like the SL as much, beyond reviving! I think it'll be interesting to see if it attracts a younger audience, maybe does some neat things that convince customers. I hope it does, I like the new SL!

The top trim Kia EV6 only has 320hp, not even close to 800hp (unless there s some performance trim that I m missing.
It does make 446lb/ft of torque however which they claim will make it hit 60 in 4. 6 seconds which is still impressive.
