A big difference in driving experience between this and the two japanese hybrid competitors is that toyota and honda use cvt (more exactly cvt-style) transmissions, great in city but a bit loud (and less efficient) at higher speeds, while the hyudai uses a relatively traditional angine-transmission setup, with a dual-clutch transmission and the electic motor aiding the engine, with the result of little higher fuel consumption in city traffic but better efficiency at higher speeds while keeping engine sound down. Plus, having a dct allows to select your gear, really useful if you drive in mountainous areas

I'm so excited to see that automakers are finally realising that unique design sells- to me Hyundai gives me 1950s chrysler vibes. They're known for reliability, but not necessarily for style, so they restyled their entire lineup and became the coolest cars there are. Just 5 years ago, if you had to ask me what my least favorite looking cars are, it would be Hyundai. Now, they are my favorite looking cars on the market- especially the Sonata. I really like the boomerang taillights. I hope every other automaker starts making unique cars too

Didn t expect a hybrid successor to have less torque. I own a diesel Tucson and it has more. Doesn t sell well in my country though. They barely hit 3 digit mark in India and when I called the dealership they literally rushed to my place with a great rate. Couldn t refuse the price and bought it and I m loving it, between this and compass, people tend to lean towards compass but it s seriously worth a look.

I'm driving a 2008 Hundai Tucson Limited with 108, 000 miles and I have to say that it is an extremely reliable car. Aside from ball joints and an A/C compressor wearing out at 100, 000 miles it's a dependable as a car gets. The limited version with leather, a V6 engine and a sunroof makes the car feel more upscale than it's price tag. Hyundai gives you a bigger bang for your buck.

Beautiful SUV. We opted for the Santa Fe instead, in the non hybrid. Couldn't see spending the extra 3k for 45 mile hybrid range and much lower HP.
Ordered the Caligraphy custom build in May 2021 and finally take delivery January 17th 2022.
This will be out 3rd Santa Fe. 2018 limited xl, 2019 limited sport and now a 2022 Caligraphy. Absolutely love what Hyundai has become.

Hey
Coming from somebody who's looking for an R8, my friends and I were talking about Hyundai & Kia the other day. They're doing a good job especially with their bold design language and amazing technology for relatively cheap money. Their reliability has greatly improved as well. Finally not only the top tier gets to enjoy bold design and great technology, now literally everyone can.

Super
I think Doug needs to start reevaluating his quality scores how can an Audi R8 only have a quality score of eight when it has way nicer materials and is probably just as reliable as this since this is a hybrid and an R8 is the most reliable supercar, yet it only has eight relative to this things seven

I don't get what you're on about with the styling, it looks a little more intricate than other crossovers but not significantly different and definitely not more expensive or elegant, to me it kinda looks like a crossover version of the new Subaru WRX.

Hello
Hyundai and Kia are killing it recently. They re not perfect, like everything else, but I seriously love some of these new cars. I wouldn t have considered a Kia 10 years ago, or wanted a Hyundai, but now I d seriously consider either over Toyota.

If you wanted a compact vehicle, why the hell would you buy a crossover, actually why the hell would you buy a crossover period? they're all the worst parts of a car and truck combined with none of the benefits.
