Is the color combo just so rare in the automotive world that Doug can't help but get excited about it? As the orange/teal color combo has long been a frequent and common color combination in graphic design, marketing and most everything else that requires you catch people's eye. Apparently the orange/teal orange/cyan color combos attract the eye and brain and invokes calm or happy feelings, or something to that effect, which accounts for how often they're used in tandem.
Perhaps since it's rare in the automotive world, and with how quirky that is by itself, along with a car Doug liked when he was young and has a natural affinity and sense of nostalgia for, it all just really gets Doug going. Which, incidentally, is why we all like him to begin with. His car nerd persona and attention to detail, plus how giddy he gets when they add up, is why he is so good at this car review and analysis thing, and why we watch it. I am not a car guy, but I still like these vids because I genuinely like Doug, and how his enthusiasm comes out in print and on camera.

Arctic conditions are really where these P2-chassis Volvos shine. Stable, warm and safe car in every road condition. D5 diesel engines are known to run very high mileage (over 500000 km easily) and body is well protected from rust. I'm probably going to be picking up same era XC70 with D5 engine this year, it's a downgrade from my current car when it comes to it's age, but I think that when kept nicely, these things hold up still very well.

This car is interesting because it focused on being the best daily driver. Great interior and good looking with a fantastic engine. Sort of falls apart at the limit, though. You have the M3 which was great at the limit but it beats you up a little bit daily driving it. Plus the potential reliability issues. Pick your poison, but I understand the appeal with this thing.

Volvo has a long history of quirky options one of my favorites is the 740/760 with Oxblood red leather. Bright red interior. The 850 also had a number of strange exterior colors including a teal and aubergine, a dark metallic purple. Still driving an 850 today.

Volvo had the coolest interior/exterior color combos in the early 2000s. and the performance and safety of their cars weren't compromising each other, which is great! I have huge respect for Volvo as a manufacturer because of their strong reputation.

I test drove a Porsche 911 convertible once and it was forrest metallic green on the exterior and a very orange-y saddle interior, so it s not that weird to me. This seafoam green was very popular in the 90 s. It reminds me of a 1995 Toyota Tercel.

There was also a factory body kit called sport kit available for only the S60R. It had winglets which was like a front splitter, lower side skirts, and lower rear bumper that matches the lines of the side skirts.
It also had a small rear wing.

Hmmm The P1800 is the only sporty car Volvo has ever produced. We in Europe class it as a premium car, like a Audi A4. The difference between a sports car and premium car is the wheel suspension and the down force of the car in general.

11: 38 the storage slot is the blank for if the owner doesn't have the dash cupholder
Similar to SAAB's 9-5 cupholder in that its vertical, but it does function differently

The v70R wich is basicly the same car just as a station vagon this had the orange floor mat in the trunk as standard becouse you could se inn at all time. It vas a option on the s60 becouse it was not as important
