When I first bought my 2002 S2000 back in 2012, I started autocrossing it to get a feel for its full potential. I used to see several and never thought much of it other than it had the aero kit and no soft top. it still amazes me how rare the CR actually is. I wonder if a lot of the owners back then when they kinda trashed them or have maybe since sold regret it.

I remember back in '01-'02 these cars were getting beat by everything at strip in Indy. I watch a Dodge Omni and a red F150 lightning destroy this car and the Honda Prelude in the quarter mile, the import craze was very large back then hyped up from The Fast and The Furious. Great times.

i think that people who say the miata is better than s2000
don't wanna drive fast

That car, brand new, cost around 32K, but now costs at over 100K. It's like in GTAO there are plenty of starter cars, brand new ones, that should cost under 50K, but RS was like, Nah, sell 'em over 2 million. We (desperately) need those Shark Card sales.

Had an 05 S2000, stomp it below 2K with the AC on is fun lesson why horsepower sells cars and torque wins races. It s a neat car, but you literally have to beat on the thing to get anything out of it. Wasn t my cup of tea, but values are up on them now.

You are wrong Doug! These CR were desirable but, the dealerships were marking them up to 60, 000 at the time which was ridiculous when you could get an Elise for the same price or cheaper. It was the same for the spoon Honda Civic.

I still hold he needs to drive an AP1 with the F20c engine in order to experience the S2000 at it's best.
The F22c engine is great, but the 9000rpm redline of the original is what the car was designed around.

owned my s2000 for almost 8 years now, still puts a HUGE smile on my face. I track it once in a while and i daily it to work since ive owned it at 27k miles. almost at 100k now with no plans on selling. :)
