One possible explanation for why the Jalpa is relatively roomy, could be the fact that it is pretty much a reskin of the Silhouette, which was pretty much a reskin of the Urraco, which was also mid engined but was also a 4 seater. All three cars have the same wheelbase. Removing those rear seats would probably give some room to the front seats, making the car comfortable and roomy compared to other mid engined two seaters.
The Urraco was designed by Marcello Gandini, as so was the Dino GT4, and the two cars have a very similar layout, being mid engined four seaters. The Urraco was eventually replaced by the Silhouette and the Jalpa, which were sportier variants aiming to compete with the Ferrari 308, while the Dino was replaced by the 4 seater Mondial, which was a more practical variant to the 308.

You pretending to not understand simple controls in cars is getting a bit old Doug! The Fan button on the left of the steering wheel is obviously for the engine fan and the car is obviously in transition (being the 90's) from a climate fan dial to digital buttons, and as for the vents there are 6 as usual! And the door handles are ergonomic if you are getting in the car and opening with your left hand, who opens the lefthand door with their right hand? That would be awkward for entry!

It s rare and all, but it s not desirable at all. I would love having these stay within a reasonable price. It s definitely not worth anything close to a 100K.
Probably fun car to drive, but I would pick basically anything else from this era but this. It doesn t have any character.

I had a Jeep with for handles that went the opposite way and I didn't care for it, with the door handles like this you should naturally reach with your left hand so your body is out of the doors way for the drivers side

Serious question Doug. When you have questions about stuff like the fan buttons, why don't you just ask the owner?
You could learn something about the Jalpa and so could your viewers.

The radio is not rom the factory, seems like after market installation - so the Clock in the radio and the one from the car are not supposed to be synchronized, but setup saperatlly.

My car's reverse gear doesn't have a lock like this car, instead you have to push down the gear lever to engage it.
Like if your car's reverse is engaged the same way as mine.

Since I will never be able to afford a Miura, the Jalpa/Silhouette is at the top of my Lambo list. I have wanted one since Car & Driver reviewed the Silhouette around 1979.
