Jaguar XJ Super V8 review! The Jaguar XJ Super V8 is one of the coolest Jags -- an ultra-luxury car with big power and TONS of equipment. Today I'm reviewing the XJ Super V8, and I'll show you all the quirks and features of the top Jaguar of 2006. Then I'll drive the XJ Super V8 and show you what it's like on the road

The 4. 2L supercharged V8 (AJ34S) is just awesome. It's solid, reliable and simple to maintain. It has an Eaton supercharger from what I believe is the F-150 Lightning.
The engine is an actual masterpiece. Literally bulletproof. DOHC with VVT and an Eaton blower.
It's also efficient on the highway. You can easily get 27 mpg if you're cruising.
Used to own an XF SV8 with the same engine and I loved every minute of it.

Great car, I allways loved the styling of Jaguars from this era. Also I would love to see a review of an Mk1 Volvo S80 T6 Executive (4seater, it is such an underrated luxury sedan. It was in the level of Mercedes and BMW of the time but a lot of people never even heard of it (I mean this version the Executive with the four seat) because it is fairly rare (at least here in Europe.

These Jags are super reliable, it is basically a Ford from a Mechanical standpoint which makes also parts super affordable, i have a xj8l and iam always surprised how affordable the parts are most parts are also used in Lincoln LS and Ford Thunderbird. The only headache is the Air suspension, this can be a little bit frustrating like in almost every car with Air suspension.

Fantastic cars, although the facelift from 2008 is much better looking with the right blend of Jag elegance and malevolence. Nobody bought the super V8 in the UK because our Government doesn't like us to have nice things and taxed them accordingly, so we all bought the 2. 7 diesel which is a bit of torque monster in its own right. Now diesel is the bad guy, you can't win.

That era's XJ, especially the LWB Daimler, is the single-most beautiful luxury car ever made. It doesn't really work so well in pictures or on video, but in person? Man, it's truly gorgeous, perfect shape and proportions from every angle you look at it. The E38 7-series comes close, but not quite.

This was era when luxury cars were truly luxury, comfortable & elegant. Unlike now when people think luxury is just tossing tons of screens and gadgets in car
I would not sell our older luxury cars we own since new for some new nonsense

8: 01 Less Doug DeMuro is going to have a field day with this power button description. When you move it up or down, it first makes a short move in the opposite direction, and then it does what you want etc. etc. etc. LOL!

I love how they just slapped an aftermarket Sirius radio into the dash. Other companies had integrated the satellite radio into the am/fm radio. But this is just slapped in. Doesn t fit. Wow.

There's a missed quirk! that the pedals can be adjusted electrically toward or away from the driver by the same lever/toggle that controls the steering column! Wonderful review as usual

if i were a car reviewer, i would return cars to their owners with a full tank, a small price to pay but the thought goes a long way, given the money you'll make on the video
