I bought the 1993 M5 and enjoyed it very much. The car came with a fee trip to BMW Munich factory tour and they gave us an M5 to drive on Autobahn. If the picture is a 1991 model, the previous owner changed the wheels and side mirrors to 93 model. Also the rear spoiler which cost about 3K back then. Prior to 1993, M5 had the same mirrors as other regular models and the wheels were like fin type that people did not like that much. Steering Wheel is also different. Europen models had 3. 8 liter engine where US models kept the 3. 6 Liter. That car always brings back great memories as both of my kids first ever ride in a car from hospital was in this M5.

My dad has a 2014 550i and the back seat is still cramped as hell. So is the entire interior in general. I have to move the passenger seat wayyyyy back to fit my long legs. Also, the seat isn t high enough off the floor. Yes I could move it up, but I m tall. My head would be brushing the ceiling. I guess I m just so used to my SUV which has higher seats. It feels like I m trying to sit in the third row of my car when I get into that BMW

All cars sold in Europe back then had at least one ashtray and lighter, some had several. It's a culture thing - smoking was big in Europe then but drive through places where you could get a drink that would need a cupholder were hardly ever to be found. I can't remember a single one in England growing up. Because they weren't part of our culture we always wondered why they were so necessary.

Dear Mr. DeMuro. I have an e34, and the bulb on my key is not a light to illuminate the key hole but an infrared transmitter for the keyless entry which is different from today's radio transmitter. So to operate it properly, one has to point the key at the center of the rear view mirror to open the locks. Maybe it was different with the 91 e34 as mine is a 94 e34. thanks for the video.

Theory: that center climate vent might be there to keep the temperature even. For me and many other people I know it's always colder in the back than in the front (unless you have a newer car with a separate climate zone for the back. Maybe this makes the air spread in a more even way. Would have to drive an M5 e34 and be a back passenger to confirm this, though.

Also, the E34 is not the first BMW to have a driver oriented dashboard. This starts from the BMW M1 And then E21 (The first 3 series. And before that there are many supercars from the 70s that have the cockpit driver-focused. BMW are the ones to popularise it amongst cars that normal people can get access to.

In the trunk there was supposed to be a warning triangle where the cloth was. That's the reason why the inscription underneath was showing the old 5 series and 100m distance represented. To tell you where to put the triangle in case you were stopped on the side of the road.

A friend of mine has a Daytonaviolet 3. 8l-95 wagon in his garage along with some other M models. Always nice to take them out on a hot summer day. as discreet then as now, ordinary people do not have a clue what it is while car people always come forward and want to talk
