Here's Why the Porsche 911 Turbo (996) Is a Crazy Bargain
video description
And no, I'm not saying that because I don't want this video to be the cause of 996 Turbo prices to skyrocket, making it impossible for me to ever own one.

as if 911s dont all look the EXACT same? Honestly, for you to call this car a Bargain is laughable. I pitty the dumbass that buys a 911 this old, but pays premium price. Congrats, you paid top dollar to look like you're driving an 80s car. You can buy a much more modern Porsche for the same money, and actually LOOK like you're from the 21 century.
I might only be kinda a car guy, but where is the excitement in the different 911s? There is none? The only people that can tell them apart, or care, are other dudes who also like 911s.
Just some input from a Normal car fan, not a irrational fanboy

The Battery? Front trunk label doesn t tell you that the battery is in the front trunk. It is labelling the terminal next to it. You use it if the battery is flat, at which point you can get into the cabin the door locks are mechanical but you can t open the front trunk. You connect external 12V power to the terminal (ground to somewhere convenient on the car) and it provides power to the latch on the front trunk so you can get into it and sort out the battery. I ve used mine more than once.

To get a good 996 turbo, you gotta pay around 50G's. Not sure if I'd call that a Crazy Bargain when you can get a brand new C8 Corvette, which will blow this thing out of the water, for nearly the same price.
And please Porsche elitists, don't even try to say that this thing is on another level compared to the new C8. Because we all know the 996's were NOT known for their exceptional quality.

I actually always liked the design of the 996. I was a teenager when it came out and remember all the
auto magazines losing it over how Porsche ruined the 911 and how it would be a blemish on their history.
Personally, I always thought that the headlights looked like some sort of glass sculpture.
Iv always had a bigger issue with the break lights.

Controversial opinion time: the fried egg 996 headlights look far better than the turbo 996 headlights (which look like the car has been crying or has an eye infection. Also sorry Doug but the overhangs on the 997 are far more beautiful because the surfaces resolve well (not just where the engineers wanted the car to stop, like with the 996)

I think Porsche fans are starbucks snowflaky consumers. Theyre a bunch of negated purists who would put god and Ferdinand Porsche in the same postion. This is my favorite 911 after the 2016 ones. They just cannot stand differences in design, must be a pain in the ass to work for porsche with that sort of consumer base.

Nah man the rest of the car is not that good looking. It's well proportioned but I don't like the enormous rear turn signals, the little black bumps on the sides of the license plate holder, the plain colors they were offered in or those awful wheels.
It's a performance bargain, but it is just not a pretty car.

Do you find the headlights really ugly because they have been poorly designed or do you find them ugly because they do not look exactly like those before and after? a Porsche Carrera GT has very similar headlights, but everyone finds this vehicle beautiful

Nice that it also says X50 on the license plate. At 10: 10, could it be that the light is supposed to shine onto the car key, which is always to the left of the steering wheel in Porsche s? So you know where to stick the key when it s dark.
