THIS is a great video, time to give Doug's non-human energy levels a coffee score: for maintaining the highest possible energy levels for the duration of this video Doug gets a 10 out of 10 expresso shots that he drank in his morning coffee. On a side note, I love the new Z06, however I feel it has a lot more European undertones vs previous vettes that have recently been released.

So the first Corvette was released in 1953. It wasn't released in 1951 and called the '1953 Corvette. '
Even if this car goes on sale next year it will be the 69th anniversary not the 70th.
I really wish car manufacturers would stop this ridiculous trend of releasing a car one year and calling it the 'following year' model.

This is the most different a front end of a z06 has been from the base model, but it's not the first time. Even if you don't count the grill of the c7, and wider front bumpers to match the fenders, the c6 had a different front end because it had a bigger grill, and and extra vent. small differences compared to this though

Just gotta say. it won't mean much to most women but for guys? Telling them I hand build Lt6 performance engines for the C8 z06 corvette any guy worth his salt will be impressed. if you're not, then you should go immediately to the women's washroom and change your tampon.

most will brag in 5 yrs how their rev limiter is still on as most guys are afraid to drive their car (and ask more of course lol)
Rear is slightly better but still. ugh. that engine makes it forgiveable though. Last hurrah by Chevy along with its 1000hp NA crate engine.

I love that GM makes a baby supercar that you don t have to be afraid to full-send, yet only retirees buy them to cruise at the speed limit 4 times a month. They never see a track day and supercars that do are nursed around the track for understandable reasons.

Can somebody explain to me the point of GM's electronic door handles? I can't think of any point to them as they seem to add unnecessary cost, complexity, and weight, especially since you have to have a redundant manual handle should the electrical system fail.

GM should have made the new Corvette all electirc as a true GM Electric Halo Car to take some buzz away from the Tesla. This should have been a direct competitor to the Tesla Roadster at half the price. ICE cars are the past not the future.

The exhaust sounds really good, but it sounds nothing like what I heard in GM s press footage. Sounded way more Ferrari-like in what they were showing off. Just sounds like a normal V8 here.

Makes your wonder what the ZR1 will have? A fully forged internal version of this engine with Twin Turbos maybe?
And I m sure there s gonna be a HO Hybrid version too
