2022 Ford F-150 Lightning review! The 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning is a fully electric pickup truck, and today I'm taking you on a thorough tour of the new F-150 Lightning. I'll show you all around the F-150 Lightning, and I'll give you the most comprehensive tour yet of the new Ford F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck. John: I wonder if the Emergency Trunk Opener inside the front trunk will work while the vehicle is moving, given that the other front trunk opener buttons most likely are wired to not work while the vehicle is moving. The emergency button would have to be wired all on it's own. Imagine the kidnapper's face when their hood pops up and blinds them while they're driving down the highway!

Bored. Doug's videos are great however this truck is way under ranged, with average towing capacities and not to mention a disgrace to the Lightning nameplate. Its sad honestly to watch the Large OEs pedal these EVs as the next big thing when they clearly don't have it figured out. Selling EVs before the infrastructure is there is quite literally putting the cart before the horse. I see how EVs might benefit certain folks but no truck buyers that tow anything will consider this. Especially when you can recharge IE Fuel an ICE truck and get 300+ miles of range in 4 mins or less.

I am hoping it is not just available with a crew cab short bed. I am hoping they have like either an extended cab or single cab. Although if they made a single cab I wouldn t be surprised if it was only available with an 8ft bed. Although it would be cool if they made a shelby super snake race truck that is a single cab with a short bed but knowing my luck i wouldn t be surprised if they didn t make anything like. I mean just imagine a single cab short bed race truck that is all wheel drive and ev making crazy power now that would be really cool.

As proper electric trucks the Ford F-150 Lightning and Rivian R1T are the most friendly user (Hummer price is basically a luxury truck and Cybertruck looks to me as a under development truck with no real innovations. Both have a lot of innovations only possible due to their electric nature. The real advantage of the Ford is the fact F-150 is a well know name in the truck market and the basic model is aiming to large market share (Hummer is too expensive even in the basic trim and Rivian is not a well know brand.

This will be the first new vehicle I ll buy. It s everything I want. I wanted an F-150, but wanted an electric vehicle. The features are everything I want from a single vehicle. I ll wait until it s been out for a little while before buying a used one or leasing one, but this is a vehicle that blows me away.

Maybe I haven't noticed it before, but man that front running light bar looks like poo when its not lit up, Just looks cheap. around 11: 30 in the video it really stood out to me. I'm still excited for the truck but I have to wonder if there is someway of changing that.

Doug, it's not a giant generator -- it's just a giant battery. Generators create power, this truck just stores it and can send it back. Would be smart of them to incorporate solar panels on the roof to recharge passively, then it could be a little closer to a generator.

It s an awesome truck but I still don t believe it s going to sell very well. 40k is still pricey for just a work truck and overall I d imagine most truck owners are still not gonna enjoy the charging aspect compared to a quick fuel stop

The moment he opens front trunk - is the moment whan F-150 Lightning was sold.
All previous electrick pickups was not really for truck people, but this one. I can imagine this truck sold out even before it reaches dealerships.

EV trucks are going to be a pain offroad. Those battery's can burn for days if damaged bad enough, and don't even get me started on water crossings lol. Should be common sense not to, but there's no shortage of idiots in the world.
