3: 20 Setting here at a stop light. goes on to describe smoothness compared to the Elise rough idleHence the reason for a supercharged and otherwise stock Toyota V6. real world applicability, with sports car performance. Although the Elise also used a Toyota sourced 4cyl engine. it was a somewhat massaged version, and the reason for the rough idle being Lotus removed the balance shaft in seeking better throttle response, higher revs, and relieving parasitic loss of power.

This video inspired me to do some research and eventually purchase my own Evora. 1 full year of ownership later, and I could not be happier. The only dissapointing thing about this car is the fact that I don't think I could ever be truly happy owning another sports car unless I spent a lot more money, which I don't plan on doing. Thanks Doug, keep the videos coming.

Mercury, Saturn, hummer, Pontiac, oldsmobile, Plymouth, amc. these are the last few decades, and you say it inevitable that a British car company will go bust? Let me go into the financial woes of gm and ford. Youre videos are great Doug but sometimes you talk crap. Lotus have been going for 67 years. Not bad for a small volume sports car manufacturer

The Evora is a terrible car. The leather shrinks in two hours of sunlight, the Toyota CAmry engine is dull as dishwater and it leaks like a sieve when it rains. - My girlfriend has had two Elise's MK1's and they are brilliant. Why two? I hear you ask. I may have crashed the first one, but we won't talk about that.

It looks like the love child of a Ferrari and an Aston Martin. Which ain't a bad combination. And for 60k, you get a car that looks like it costs 200k - and nobody will know. Unless they watched this video. damn you, DougMemo to Lotus: you'll double your income if you sell that supercharger as a kit.

Love the Evora. I've had an Elise (a bit home made feeling) but a fantastic drive, and a Boxster, super quality product made out of granite. The Evora is the perfect mix of (quite) well made/solid feeling and excellent fun to drive. Lotus's have the look of the coolest cars on the road too

Doug, I am not interested in supercars. I'm interested in cars the main public can afford. Even vans. How about you turn your focus to the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid, the Honda Pilot, the Toyota Highlander Hybrid, the GMC AT4, Ram Rebel etc.

Lotus is my favorite European Sports Car. They won me over when I was a kid and saw the Esprit on Pretty Woman. My favorite is probably the Elise and only because that's the only one I've ever had the chance to drive.

I can't believe that you barely even mentioned the handling That is the one thing that Lotus have always been known for, and justifiably. (I know you N. Americans don't really do corners but please; ) )
