I don't like the new high end dodge ram badges. don't like how it just says RAM. I really like the dodge logo with the ram on it. and I loved the first gen dodge ram hood ordaments. I miss car hood ornaments I was born in 1991. so I grew up with late 70s, but mainly 80s and 90s cars. the last decades of vehicles with body style. padded leather seats or padded vinyl seats, vinyl roofs, the more nicely car body shapes. and the last of most cars with hood ornaments and the last of the cadillac Fins. which to me is what made cadillac the best looking cars ever made and made cadillac my favourite. today I like the new cadillac and how the performance and handling is but I miss the big cadillacs. that's why I absolutely love when they brought back a replacement for the cadillac Deville aka dts the new cadillac ct6. if I could afford it I would of bought a cadillac ct6 with V sport and Platinum package.

Engine hours are important to some as it can show how long a vehicle has been idling and how long it has been driving. Odometers only measure how far a vehicle has been physically driven, looking at the hours shows how much time has been put on the actual engine. For example, I used to work for the DOE where it was common for users to leave vehicles idling while they ran into a building or several buildings to conduct business. They may have only driven that vehicle a total of 5 miles, but they left the engine running for 5 hours total. Hours are useful for knowing has much idle wear an engine has seen. PSA, never buy a vehicle from a government agency. they may be low miles but they are treated like total crap and left to run for hours. not to mention if they are vehicles that were only used on site. they never saw speeds over 40mph.

Come on man. youre supposed to know what youre doing. I drive a limited, but use it as a truck. Not a pavement queen. You completely missed several really good parts of the ram. Like under the floor mats in the rear of the truck you have deep storage boxes. They are hidden to help protect valuables. I keep several straps, tools, and a carry pistol in there. You also didnt mention that if you tilt the rear seats up you have a bench that folds out and gives you a flat work area. You also didnt mention that the truck comes with a kickass sound system including a sub in the back which sounds damn near as good as anything you could buy. Start doing a little more research there buddy, love watching your reviews but this one was a fail.

Would it be weird to get a full size pickup even if I never haul crap? Honestly I'll need it simply because of the space. Both my brother and I are fairly tall and can't fit in sedans and barely fit in a crossover. The head and leg space in the Ram 1500 is amazing and the comfort is further enhanced by all of those adjustments. I still find that 12 display gimmicky but I'm hoping I won't be penalized greatly if I decide to step down to the Longhorn level. So far the Limited is best but what's a truck without a long bed? I'd want mine with the 6'4 bed and the Level 1 Equipment group. Gotta be able to carry people and stuff, am I right? Now we can do it in style

I will hold on to my dodge ram 2015 as these new trucks are looking as GM and Ford combined. Most dealers are not selling these trucks as fast as they thought. These trucks ugly and I would fire these designers on the spot. Starting with the rear led lights it looks like cheap plastic and looks like ford f150. The factory tires and rims are a disaster it looks like GM with a 22 inch rim and a 50 ratio tires I mean give a break. Most people are going back to the dodge ram classic and the rebel overlooking the new ram 2019. A total disaster production. I hope the 2022 its better looking and more aggressive.

Not sure I agree with the Doug score. It seems he set the scores for this truck based on all vehicles while hinting that he was comparing it to sports cars. I think Doug needs to create categories with different baselines for his Doug Score. Trucks, sports cars, exotics/super car, luxury, SUVs, etc. Broad categories is fine. No need to have different ones for small, mid-size, large SUVs for example. Just one for SUVs. Regardless of how he scores vehicles, I absolutely love Doug's reviews I'm not hating, just offering an idea.

I just bought a 2019 Silverado LT Z71 and am surprised at how much stuff I have on my mid trim that the Ram saves for It's too trim. I have full LED lighting, inside and out. I have a large touchscreen with USB type c, 2 household outlets, and several other plugs. I have two glove boxes, push button start, hill decent control, a push button tailgate, and a power sliding rear window. And I paid 35, 000 for all that and a 5. 3L V8, a 3 lift with off-road tires and dual exhaust.

I have the 2016 Ecodiesel version of that truck and I see they still have the mirrors that I hate, also why in the hell do they think we want a sunroof which may leak someday, on a pickup truck. I tell you what, keep the sunroof and give us rear ride height on the 1500 series. We also want the cold air induction system on the 1500 series not just on the Cummins motor. We want Ram to ask us what the hell we want because they don't know.

Hey Doug just wanted to add for a long time the ram trucks always had issues of one kind or another but as a mechanic the most common issues always came from the transmission. Starting in 2012 Ram bought the blueprints for the same transmission that is in Ferrari. Any ram truck with that turn dial gear selector will have that transmission that is built in the USA even though you will see the same thing in a Ferrari.

Ultra luxury truck. only in America such hideous combination is a thing, and selling well at that. I would much rather prefer to have a desperately cheap and spartan truck for when truck is needed, and a decent actually nice car for when it's not. All for the same or less money. Instead you get a truck so expensive you wouldn't want it to be a work horse, and it's still about as luxurious inside as a 15 year old Hyundai.
