Here's Why the 2017 Acura NSX Is Better Than You Think

MORE ON OVERSTEER The 2017 Acura NSX is expensive -- it starts at 156, 000, and some 2017 NSX models cost well over 200, 000. But it's better than you think, even for that high price tag -- and here's why

yes, i know this is two years old. but ya, software can manipulate images on an lcd display. call me when the software can fix hardware failures and perform routine maintenance chores, like oil changes, rotating tires, and replacing windshield wipers, such that dealership's service departments, like gas station attendants that pump your gas and check your oil, are a thing of the past. BTW, this guy seems to spend WAY, WAY too much time on all his videos with the whistles and bells of the infotainment gizmos on the cars he reviews. do people that spend 180 grand on a sports car really care about the 'mode' switch on their sports cars? or are they more focused on the acceleration, stopping, handling and the superficial aspects of their looks?

I got to take the NSX around a racetrack a few months ago and it was the most fun thing I did all year. It absolutely blew my mind. Until I took a race car version of a GT3 RS (it was hanging with all the super trofeo lambo hurricans) around with full slick P Zeros and realized how much body roll the NSX had in the most unfair comparison in the planet. Such a fun day. To me the NSX is a perfect car for 2 people. The people who want a fast car but cant justify a new Ferrari (thus someone wealthy but practical who prefers a fast car to a luxury car) or the super car collector who wants a daily driver and doesnt want to put miles on his really expensive collection.

I know that dealership Doug. So you bought this car? Nice, but I would have at least gone for a two-tone interiorThe NSX isn't settling like it's rivals because of the price - that's it. When the original NSX came out, there was less competition out there. Now there's the R8, Maserati GT, MB GT coupe, BMW M6, the new mid-engine Corvette, Mustang GT500, Challenger Hellcat, Jaguar coupe, Nissan GTR and of course, the Porsche Turbo. All these cars are priced below or exactly the same price as the NSX, with more historical significance, similar power/performance and unique styling. Drop the price Acura so you can move inventory.

I can tell you why so many of these are just setting there for for sale & nobody's buying them. 1 the price & 2, something called the 2020 Corvette Stingray The new mid-engine Corvette is going to chew up and spit out so many cars even close to this category, it's not even funny It's great looking, it's faster, it has an awesome suspension set up, great dual clutch transmission etc. etc. Oh, and it starts at around 70, 000 It's the nightmare of car company CEO's around the WORLD Ha.

Now to think that you can get same performance and similar looks for 90 grand less. Nobody will buy the new NSX. Of course I'm thinking about the Corvette C8. Sure, you won't hybrid drivetrain and economy that comes with it, but you'll get sweet sounding V8. I know that it's an old review of a car that is already on the market for past few years, but I think it's amazing how much bang for your buck you can get these days.

Some of the features your over selling ARE ON OTHER CARS. And forget 6 cyl crap Less cylinders is MORE ENGINE STRESS to equal power of v8 And yes a v8 SOUNDS BETTER Also this car is priced out of most peoples affordability, so yeah, lots will be sitting on lots How about Acura makes a car to compete with the mx5 mazda IN THE SAME PRICE RANGE NOT MORE

I think my main problem with this car is the looks. When you drive a Ferrari or Lamborghini people will come up to you and ask about your car, I feel like If I were to to drive this people would ask me what I do for a living. They will recognize is as a nice car, not a high end sports car

I think the fact that it's a hybrid is a turn off to enthusiasts. Besides efficiency, Hybrids are synonymous with complicated tech and unknown issues down the road. It's a beautiful car, and I love the Acura brand, but the simplicity of just a twin turbo six I believe would sell better.

They gotta replace that volume slider mechanism with a knob that you turn. That slider mechanism drives me nuts in other cars that use it. An old school turn style knob works so much better. Some things should just be left alone, and the volume knob is one of those things.
