To start off saying I've what's dozens of your videos, I think they're great. As a car guy myself who stay up to date andon the ins and outs of today's performance cars. I'd image there're are few people who understand the amount of research you put into I researching the cars before making your videos. I will certainly continue to be a a supporter. These are your videos, that incorporate your opinions, as it should. But in good fun I've got to tell you your Doug Score often leaves me with the temptation to pull my hair out. I don't think storage space is even worth incorporating into a score of a 2 seater. People don't purchase these cars for long roadtrips or to purchase a new tv. What killed me is you said the Corvette Z06 isn't a supercar? I think your crazy I also thought your justifying arguement for this opinion was weak, saying because it has a base model with far less horsepower as if this doesn't make it special. Yes many say exotic supercars need limited numbers well althout maybe the Z06 and ZR1 may not be as limited as other supercars, don't think for a second that's these other supercar manufacturers decision, if they could build and sell more they would The problem is they dont have the buyers and they cant even keep up with demand Although Chevrolet does, and they build them at price that makes them affordable to more people (equals more sales which isnt their fault. To me that's even more impressive. Granted this video was made before C8 specs were released, it's a supercar killer with it's price, performance, and Euros will be be lost once the C8 Z06 and ZR1 is released.

Doug score is way too low. Styling is still striking. Not at all old hat. Its very hard to take your eyes off this car when you see them in traffic. All two seater sports cars are impractical, but that's not why we buy them. Considering the huge cargo area, the Vette is more practical than most other sports cars. Reliability rating should be higher because of maintenance costs. It's cheaper to repair so it'll be on the road longer. He seems to have deducted points because if this. The cool factor is still way up there. The score should reflect that. The Corvette is the coolest American made car on the road. The importance score should be 10 out of 10. For the simple fact that, as he mentioned, it's a mass produced sports car that outperforms exotic supercars at a fraction of the cost. That's why the Corvette will always be an important car in the automotive world.

Dear lord please, please, please, stop using the words Corvette and Supercar in the same sentence. It's just embarrassing and makes Americans look silly. Vette used to be a great muscle car back in the day, top of the line; then came the 1980's, the car was allowed to drift into mediocrity as were most of the cars during this period. They have never recovered, never will. They destroyed the trust of the public and now they reap the rewards of their decisions. Any car that simply goes fast in a straight line isn't a supercar by the world's standards. just as Chevy's hybrid car wasn't actually an all electric car as they tried to bully and pound into everyone's ears. Move on Chevy. Vette is a good muscle car, it's not a supercar and never will be. it's a Vette.

I hate how biased this video is. If this was a Ferrari Doug would be drooling over this, but because it's a Chevy, it always comes with that stigma. Guarantee you if there was a Ferrari with doors that you push a button to open and close, and the badge right on the info center, Doug would be like Wow how neat is that, such a super cool thing to do to add the horsepower. But since it's not a Mercedes it will automatically be 10 points less on the Doug score. Edit: Bet you if Chevy did what Lamborghini did and put the numbers of which order the pistons fired off when the car started, Doug would call it unnecessary

Doug DeMuro seems to have forgotten his roots. He seemed to disrespect the Corvette in favor of exotics. For a car that looks as good as 90% of the supercars out there, has all the performance of the exotics, is DEFINITELY more reliable than any of the supercars out there, and is about 1/4 of the cost, I would say that they hit a home run. It would seem that Mr DeMuro is letting his wealth and social media fame go to his head a little too much.

Hm so in this particular car's 33, 000 mile life it's had an average speed of 34MPH achieving 16. 6MPG at 1500RPMs. Sounds like the majority of its life isn't spent city driving. Also, the mpg is slightly below its combined MPG EPA rating(which are recorded in ideal situations) suggesting there are some 'healthy' pulls here-and-there in this car lol +1 ticket for going 30 over. Who can blame them, it's a Z06

Really. Look at the top lap times at Nurburgring. It outran all but 16 cars ever tested. It outran Italian supercar. It outran German super cars. It outran English super cars. It outran Japanese supercars. If that doesnt qualify it for supercar what would? Anyone that would say this isnt a supercar, is a biased dufus. The base corvette is a supercar.

Never really an never will see the Corvette as a supercar, nothing about it has 12 to 16 cylinders an hand built by actually hands, the viper is really the only semi exotic super car for America. The gt500, camaro, challenger, are all just muscle cars along with the Vette. The viper is between a semi muscle along with semi hand built for track.

I just looked at pretty much, this exact car a few days ago. (2019 model) Same color and everything. Was very impressed. As a Porsche owner, the thought of going into a Chevy made my stomach uneasy. I just may trade my Cayman S in for this. But, I'm keeping my Macan GTS. I need something to tow a trailer with. Great review.
